We pledged after WWII that something like the holocaust would never happen again, and then something just like it happened and we didn't do anything. It wouldn't have helped us, but how does feeding starving children around the world help us? We helped out in the Iranian revolution by providing aid to the Shah? Give me a break, we could've sent troops in and stopped Khomeini.
Also, instead of stopping Khomeini we were spending billions of dollars to mujahideen to fight soviets in Afghanistan. What was better for world peace? Letting the USSR win the war.

He grew up raised by a single mom and worked hard to get an education at the nation's best schools. He's certainly an elite person to have made so much of himself when he started with so little. After law school he could have gone private sector and make tons of $$ but instead taught law and was a community organizer. That's the type of elite that i want.

It specifically says things that reflect taking a violent position when it comes to infidels, which it calls evil. War are at war here and need to unite. Are you a muslim? It ended with the Taliban taking over. Once again, had we just stood back and let the Soviets win that war there would be no: Taliban or bin laden. It was the 1950s that we decided to take a stand against the Soviet. We made the choice to fight communism and socialism everywhere it may be. We held true to that position when the Soviets invaded that country.We stopped the flow of communism. Yeah, the Taliban took over, but what did we do? We took care of them too. Where is the error in that? What is the issue there?
Well, I have a pro-Soviet bias so I got some issues. The USSR stabilized the world, made it bilateral. It kept the world in control, both the US and USSR were always cautious. In today's world, nobody is cautious. Socialism wasn't bad, Communism wasn't that bad (I'm just mad that Lenin's vision didn't come true). Gorbachev was going to take it back into the Leninist way; however, he was an idiot and collapsed the whole thing. My point is that fear created conformity and the USSR electrified the world in fear as did the US.
