I'm going to go on record of saying at least a bit. He doesn't deserve blame for it spilling in the first place however it then becomes about how you handle it. I actually don't believe he is handling it that poorly. He has appointed a guy in charge of the operation who has been dealing with these types of situations for the last four decades and at least according to him he had a meeting about it at the white house on day one.

However even he admits that the relationship between BP and his administration was his fault along with the lax mood towards critical violations. So he does in fact get some of the blame.

[QUOTE="coolkid93"]None. Obama had nothing to do with the oil spill. QuistisTrepe_

Of course he didn't cause the spill, no rational person believes Obama caused it. It has been his handling of the issue which has exacerbated it however.

as I mentioned above he has handled it fairly well actually. It's more about the good relationship with BP before the spill despite the numerous critical safety violations.

I don't see how Obama would have anything to do with this.

Really, you mean such as the Obama administration's stonewalling of Governor Jindal?

Yeah he does deserve some because he went the drill baby drill route and let bp drill he should have went green so it's both his and bp fault.

It's not good enough to just say he doesn't have anything to do with this. He needs to be working on it day and night to prevent an ecological disaster from occurring.

As much--if not more--as Bush got for Katrina. Which is to say quite a bit.
