[QUOTE="GummiRaccoon"]

I just provided you counterproof a few posts up.

GummiRaccoon

Actually you didn't. Anecdotes aren't proof, but if you want to use them then I'll add that every gay person I've known (and I've known quite a bit) had straight parents. And every person I've known who was raised by gay parents (again, I've known a few) turned out to be straight.

Which is what they want you to believe.

You are aware something being biological doesn't necessarily mean it's hereditary?

Don't tell me you're stupid enough to believe that only gay people carry the "gay gene" (assuming that it is in fact genetic).

What are recessive traits?

You didn't answer the question.

Can you prove that your dogs testicles were intended to be cut off?

RandoIphF
Not the point. But really now. The anus was never intended for sex no matter how you try and spin it.

The mouth is also not "intended" for sexual pleasure, doesn't stop oral sex from being eyes rolling in the back of my head fantastic, does it?

Did I agree with oral sex? But regardless though. Oral sex is not harmful to the body.

It can be as harmful as any other kind of sex when not done properly.

Religious reasons are unacceptable now.  Ok then.. moving along.

RandoIphF
Yep because people are supposed to shove their faith aside in the name of being politically correct.

Can their not be a middle ground between "shoving their faith aside" and "shoving their faith on everyone else through the law"?? Why does it absolutely always have to be one or the other?

But for people who have faith, homosexuality is an abomination. Its been that way for millenniums. But in the 21st century, there is supposed to be some kind of middle ground? Why should they have to settle in the name of modern day American political views? Why should they be forced to accept homosexuals when their bible readings say god will crush the whole soceity? Not saying I fully agree but I also dont agree with interfering with ones faith. Freedom of religion is what this country was founded on and is why everybody left Europe to begin with.

Freedom of religion also means freedom from someone else's religion. Understanding that you live in a society where people who hold views and lifestyles you may dissapprove of personally does not interfere with your ability to freely practive your religion. However asserting your religion into law does interfere with someone else's right to life their lifestyle freely.

Right to what? Do homosexuals even know what marriage is or its origins? And it fidnt even become about Love until the Roman Catholic Church got invloved. Its never had anything to do with same sex until modern America wanted to interfere. But even then. What do homosexuals benefit from marriage besides financial things like shared healthcare and survivor benefits? If they want that? Give it to them but to call it marriage is a farce.

Ahh traditional marriage. Where whites can only marry whites, blacks can only marry blacks, and fathers sold their daughters to their new husbands. Gotta love it.

You also didn't address anything that I said. Whether gays get married or not has no effect on you, so why should you have a say on if they can marry or not?

But why would homosexuals want to be part of a club that was never intended for them to begin with? Regardless of the definition change, it has always meant 1 man, 1 woman for thousands upon thousands of years. This happened long before religion was ever a part of it.

Actually 80% of marriages throughout history were between second cousins or closer. Its the same politically correct American soceity that changed all that.

The marriage club which primary purpose was to bind women to men, and thus guarantee that a mans children were truly his biological heirs.

[QUOTE="Murderstyle75"][QUOTE="toast_burner"]what club are you talking about?

Aljosa23

The marriage club which primary purpose was to bind women to men, and thus guarantee that a mans children were truly his biological heirs.

Interesting, is that why infertile couples can't get married

wait a minute...

That happened after the Roman Catholic Church got involved which was in the 7th century if I remember correctly.

Then why are you complaining if it stopped meaning what you think it means 1400 years ago?

But why does the history of marriage matter? We are in 2013 not 713 AD. Why is blindly sticking to the definition of "traditional marriage" (even though it ignores all the negatives associated with it) a good thing?

It doesn't. Chances are this user is just homophobic and reaching for the most absurd reasons not to allow gay marriage just like all the others.

Murderstyle75 what are your opinions on divorce?

Aljosa23
I don't agree with divorce either which is why I have never been married. I have been with the same woman for 5 years and even live together. Still not 100% sure though if I feel "Til Death Do Us Part". Marriage usually ends in divorce now days because its primarily used for stability and financial reasons. If you have the slightest doubt in your head, why get married?

Because 2013 wants to change almost every tradition known to man.

Okay, how/why is it inherently good to stick to tradition?

[QUOTE="Murderstyle75"] But why would homosexuals want to be part of a club that was never intended for them to begin with? Regardless of the definition change, it has always meant 1 man, 1 woman for thousands upon thousands of years. This happened long before religion was ever a part of it.Murderstyle75

Motherf*cking lol. You really are clueless about marriage and its history.

On please quote some stupid wiki link so it seems like I'm wrong.

No need to. The fact that you think marriage has been 1 man/1 woman for thousands of years says it all.

[QUOTE="Murderstyle75"] Right to what? Do homosexuals even know what marriage is or its origins? And it fidnt even become about Love until the Roman Catholic Church got invloved. Its never had anything to do with same sex until modern America wanted to interfere. But even then. What do homosexuals benefit from marriage besides financial things like shared healthcare and survivor benefits? If they want that? Give it to them but to call it marriage is a farce.Murderstyle75

Well if marriage has had a changing definition its enitre existence then why not just change it once more?

But why would homosexuals want to be part of a club that was never intended for them to begin with? Regardless of the definition change, it has always meant 1 man, 1 woman for thousands upon thousands of years. This happened long before religion was ever a part of it.

Nobody gives a fvck about how people structured their societies hundreds or thousands of years ago. If we went with your brand of batsh!t awful logic we would still be conquering foreign countries to enslave their people, women would be experiencing institutional discrimination, we would be using a feudal system where everyone has to pay part of their production to a lord to even survive and we'd be using one of your forms of "traditional marriage" where the family patriarch makes a deal with another family patriarch before allowing his children to marry theirs. The only thing important is whether or not allowing same-sex marriage benefits people more than it costs them. Since absolutely fvcking nobody loses out from allowing same-sex marriage and obviously homosexuals gain huge benefits from being allowed to legally marry the people that they want to, it's pretty fvcking definite that same-sex marriage brings more good than bad.

How are other peoples' marriages affected by gay marriage?
