Read these articles if you need help coming up with meals that will counter balance the loss of protein from meat.

And for those of you who say vegetarianism isn't healthy, you're just making assumsitions based on the fact that meat has protein in it. I'm willing to beat that, statistically, the average vegatarian is healthier than the average meat-eater.

what are y ou willing to bet?
I already proved that meat has more complete protein.
the average meat eater eats a lot of simple carbs. Do you know what those are? Its the reason most "meat eaters are fat"
muscle is the best indicator as to who is healthy, and vegetarians are at a significant disadvantage.
I cant wait for someone to say muscle has nothing to do with health just because they never heard it on the today show. Oh I cant wait. :)
Mikemoore. I lift weighs, I run, I play football(soccer) and I play Rugby. I am fit and healthy. I also don't eat dead animals.swizz-the-gamer
healthy is debateable. I have no way of knowing if youre telling the truth. but you're at a disadvantage. Try taking a protein shake for a month while youre in season. youll see a big difference.
dont talk to me like im stupid because if you lift weights, you need something anabolic. you need a significant amount of protein. COMPLETE protein.
You really arent gonna bs me. sorry but I cant stand the smell. did you like that?

YOu don't belive me? You don't believe I lift weighs, run and play football? What the hell?! I have been into fitness for years. I used to be sorta fat when I was like 10. So did my mum, so we both lost weight and from then on I was into fitness. I was eating meat then, but then at 15 I kinda figured eating meat was wrong so I stopped. Nowhere in there did he say he didn't take protein shakes. If he lifts, and is active, he probably already knows that protein is important. He most likely has found an alternative to meats for protein. He's not talking to you like your stupid, you tlaking to him like he's stupid.

i used to be fat too. I ate more nonmeat products than I did meat. fat comes from a lot of different sources. cutting out one thing dosent mean that would work for everyone.

Eughhh.I'mnot saying I lost weight because I stopped eating meat, thatsnot related. You can be fit whether you eat meat or not. I could of lost weight if I carried on eating meat. I used to love meat, it was freakingDelicious. I would still love it. But I have a moral problem with slaughtering animals.

You have a moral objection to the slaughter of mindless autonomatons who's mere existence is nothing more than a whisper in a universe of screams, a shadow of intelligent beings incapable of comprehending their own existence, unaware that they are even alive or concious...

no im not a nutritionist. But I have searched up information on this, because I live a pretty physically demanding life **** I know what works from experience, reading and knowing people who actually know what theyre talking about.
sorry if i didnt get my nutritional information from a peta hand out dvd with my favorite band on it. I know musicians know everything right? i mean theyre on tv man!

Are you always this cranky, or have you just not had your nap yet?
I'm not questioning whether your information is correct or not, what I do have a problem with is the way you treat everybody like a complete idiot. Grow up.
Iv stoped eating meat. There are a bunch of other things I eat besides meat.I just wish my parents would understand.I hope they dont force me to eat meat. Then they started telling me a bunch of things and stuff like they were making fun of me for saying that im no longer eating meat and I will proberly get in trouble are something for refusing to eat chicken and stuff.Even though Iv tried a bunch of vegitation and hate the way it taste I still like potatoes and stuff...So theres a bunch of things I can still eat.Im no longer eating eggs either.Im still going to drink milk though. So what do you guys think. Please dont start saying its a bad idea I relly want someone to help me with it since my family hates the idea. No you're not.
of course i am, i clearly stated that I was.
i haven't ate meat or any fish in 3 and half years. i actually feel stronger for it too. protein can be consumed thru other methods like nuts, seeds, beans, avocados and smoothies. you don't have to eat flesh to live.....i know plenty of ppl who don't eat meat and they are some of the most healthy and active ppl i've ever met.
