Presidential Primaries start tomorrow with the Iowa Causes. Here is a short primer on how they work. While campaigns for the Presidency started months (even years) ago no votes have actually been cast, no delegates have actually been allocated (unless we are talking about that atrocity called Super-delegates). Foreplay is over, now it gets rough.
According to Nate Silver's 538 website this is how the races are shaping up:

Iowa has been feeling some of the Bern with Sanders appearing to be closing the gap ever so slowing with his main rival and contest favorite Hillary Rodham Clinton. For Socialist Bernie to pull the upset he is counting on a high turnout (new voters) to help him create some momentum (he has New Hampshire on the bag).

On the Republican side Texas' Senator Ted Cruz had gained the lead but has seen the race get much tighter after a late surge by business mogul and professional bullshiter Donald Trump. Not much riding for the Republican Party in this vote, if Trump wins he gets Iowa and New Hampshire (which he will win comfortably apparently) and then his momentum might be unstoppable on his way to win the presidential nomination for the Grand Old Party.

So wake up OT and smell the roses, 'Murican democracy is in session. So who you got? Hillary the Snake or Socialist Bernie? Cruz the Weasel or Or the Greatest Show on Earth Donald Trump?
