yea.....like most sports i find it a waste of time but honestly baseball is the worst sport in exictence and i used to play kick the can
Yeah, I don't like baseball.
Curling is another one that I can't believe people follow. They should put areas of thin ice in places to spice things up a bit.
I've always liked baseball but there's too many damn games.As far as the main sports I can't stand soccer and I'm not too big of a hockey fan but I've always wanted to get into it.
I'm sure if I lived in a country where cricket was played, I'd love it. Since I don't, I love baseball. I listened to it on the radio, watched on TV, and played it when I was younger.
Different strokes for different folks.
seriously how can anyone watch it not live? it's just people standing around 80 percent of the time and doesn't take much skill to be a professional, "hey look at me, i can hit a ball with a stick!" or "hey look at me, i can catch a ball hit by a stick!" or "hey look at me, i know how to run!"ZumaJones07
Then go try out for a professional team. If it doesn't take much skill than you should be able to excel at it. You could probably be a millionaire by the end of your first year.

I always thought baseball took the most skill of any sport.I played for a season. Loved it.
1st base and pitcher. Got a good eye too I do. Can crack 'em.
Golf takes the most skill though I reckon. Love that too.
Hate roids. CHEATS!
Iszdope
Athletes in every sport cheat in some way. Steroids, HGH, methamphetamine, EPO...

Fair dinkum?
It's not often I have to look up the meaning of Australian slang.

Nah. The players who used steriods weren't really doing any different from what professional players have always done.
"steroids".
And you've lost me. I'm tired.
I'm sorry I made a typo. I do hope you'll forgive me.
And what I've saying is that for as long as people have been paid to play they've looked for whatever they can find to give them an edge. You think Bonds, McGwire and Sosa were the first generation of player to use performance enhancering drugs? Nope. Today it's steroids. Back in the day it was cocaine, before that it was "bennies" and so one and so forth. Players took drugs, they doctored balls, they corked bats, they f*cked with the opposing team's clubhouse, they did all sorts of sh*t to give themselves whatever edge they could.

I never needed it.
I got by.
And how many millions were you being paid to play it?
[QUOTE="worlock77"]
[QUOTE="Iszdope"]
Irrelevant.
Iszdope
Nope, it's entirely relevant. Were you a professional or amateur? If professional how much were you being paid during your one season?
Was just supposed to be filling in...not really the sport here.
Got player of the season actually.
"Player of the season"? So in other words you've never played baseball in your life...No. NOOO. Not even close. And this is coming from a European that never seen a baseball game in all of my life. I can't imagine it being worse than golf, curling, racing, horce racing or practically any winter sport(except hockey and bandy).
That said I know it's far worse than Football/Soccer and even Basketball.

Now try playing on the level of MLB and tell me how you "got by". It's easy to get by when you're an amateur playing against other amateurs. I can get by on that level. It's quite a bit different when you're on a level that has some of the best talent in the world and you're being paid big money to play the game. You pay men that kind of money to play a game then you've got to expect they're going to do whatever they can get away with to gain an edge over their competition.
Nah.
I used to think that baseball would be too boring too watch, but then I started watching the Tigers games a little bit. The tension is ASTOUNDING at time. I remember some of those 9th innings when we had Valverde up trying to close out a game in the playoffs. God that would be so much pressure to take.
I would say basketball is easily the worst. Boring as **** to watch, the scores are almost meaningless with how many points are made in a game, and it takes the least amount of skill of any sport. I mean seriously, 75% of being a basketball star is just being freakishly tall so you can reach to stupid net...

So then how much were you being paid?
