Again.

So then how much were you being paid?
I'm out.
Gotcha, nothing.
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Nah.
I used to think that baseball would be too boring too watch, but then I started watching the Tigers games a little bit. The tension is ASTOUNDING at time. I remember some of those 9th innings when we had Valverde up trying to close out a game in the playoffs. God that would be so much pressure to take.
I would say basketball is easily the worst. Boring as **** to watch, the scores are almost meaningless with how many points are made in a game, and it takes the least amount of skill of any sport. I mean seriously, 75% of being a basketball star is just being freakishly tall so you can reach to stupid net...
LostProphetFLCL
Ugh. So wrong.

Is this like one of those times where the answer is so obvious it is overlooked or what?!?
Fools.
No it is not. How are we to discern what level of baseball you played or what your salary was when you absolutely refuse any question about it? All you've done is tried to present yourself as some hotsh*t player (for one whole season), who was somehow the best in their league despite having, apparently, limited experience. Apart from that you steadfastly refuse to say anything about it, and you fall back on evasion and name calling.

IRRELEVANT!

It's not irrelevant and I've explained why it isn't irrelevant. Why are you afraid of a simple question?

He probably just plays wiffleball in his backyard.Baseball's definitly the worst of the big 5 (hockey, football, soccer, basketball, baseball) but there are some less popular sports out there that are worse (polo)
personally hockey's the only sport I can even watch any more...

lol big 5. I guess you're going by American sports because you added football but soccer definitely doesn't belong there. It's the big 4 and yes I would say baseball is the most boring out them.
Playing baseball is fun for me, watching MLB is not so fun though. My HS baseball team in the other hand is awesome to watch, they on a 8 game winning streak right now!Bloodseeker23Exactly. I love watching little league, high school and college baseball. MLB though is so painfully boring if I actually try watching a full inning, I get so antsy that I have to physically get up and walk around. It's like torture.
Soccer is the worst anything in the history of everything. Ridiculously archaic clock rules, flopping that would put Manu Ginobili to shame, very little scoring, nonsensical things like aggregate goals deciding playoffs, ties...famicommander
Soccer is terrible. Rugby is the correction to soccer and American football is the correction to rugby.

Agreed. I find soccer to be painful to watch also. The only sports I can watch are hockey and football. I don't understand why the other sports even have fans.stanleycup98Yup
I find Nascar and Soccer/Football(the world) to be less attractive than baseball. I can see appeal to soccer/football, but Nascar I have yet to find what's so exciting about making left turns.
That being said, I wouldn't say hitting an average 80+MPH ball the size of your fist that can curve, slide, or sink, "easy".
With That other statement, I simply say: 2011 World Series Game 6 /exciting

You haven't actually answered any question. Troll on.
I'll watch women's fast pitch softball once in a while.
MLB is simply the lol tier of sports.
Tradition is the only reason why it's still popular.

Clearly. It simply is not possible for people to actually enjoy it. They're only pumping billions of dollars into it to prop up a tradition.

I'll bet the ratio of baseball fans who played the sport as a child to the total number of fans is much higher than other major sports.[QUOTE="worlock77"]

The skill it takes to hit a 400 ft homerun is almost unparalleled. I remember they had a segment once with some NFL players going to try and hit a ball in Fenway park, and none of them hit it farther than mid outfield, and these are men more athletic than your average person.

[QUOTE="worlock77"]
Nope, it's entirely relevant. Were you a professional or amateur? If professional how much were you being paid during your one season?
Pirate700
Was just supposed to be filling in...not really the sport here.
Got player of the season actually.
"Player of the season"? So in other words you've never played baseball in your life...Haha:P

There's this league that I sometimes volunteer to help out. It's a league for children with mental handicaps, this may answer some of your questions regarding him.
I don't see how that is some how "impressive".. Of course a guy playing baseball all of his life will be better at baseball then say a professional football player.. The same can be said for vice versa if a baseball professional player started playing football..Yes it is. The skill it takes to hit a 400 ft homerun is almost unparalleled. I remember they had a segment once with some NFL players going to try and hit a ball in Fenway park, and none of them hit it farther than mid outfield, and these are men more athletic than your average person.

It can't be the worst in a world in which lacrosse exists.raven_squad
I like watching college women's lacrosse live especially here in NY. Lots of hotties.
....as far as baseball, I get bored watching it, live or on TV.

The same can be said for vice versa if a baseball professional player started playing football.. I'd admit hitting a professionally thrown baseball is one of the more difficult things in sports. But even in baseball they tend to not be very good at it (look at the batting averages...). Ultimately, hitting a baseball is really the ONLY athletic part of baseball, and stands no contest with the skills required to be great in sports like hockey, soccer, football (skill positons at least)...Yes it is. The skill it takes to hit a 400 ft homerun is almost unparalleled.
