I know it's not. That's why He's already decided it.

[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"]Are you implying in one that living people are thrown into the lake of fire? That is not a Christian teaching. No one sees the Kingdom until death. Crushmaster
No He doesn't. Judge not lest ye be judged. His words....;) LJS9502_basic

How can God have decided whether or not a person is bound for Hell if they have not died yet?
[QUOTE="Crushmaster"]
[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"] Now what would Jesus think of that comment? LJS9502_basic
You don't actually know that. Mercy is up to God and God alone. LJS9502_basic

Depending on which sect of Christianity you believe in, there's predestination (the suck) and some other variations. But it all comes down to God knowing what will happen but just because he knows the outcome that doesn't preclude us from having free choice.[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"] No He doesn't. Sorry, not ad hominem.

you seem to be comparing trucks, which we have a fair amount of evidence for (you know, what with the fact that we can see, hear, smell, touch and even taste if you feel like it) and comparing them with god, something that has no evidence to prove its existence, just blind belief...ive got to say that this seems to be some pretty bad logic.
Yes, it shows he really is reaching.[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"]You don't actually know that. Mercy is up to God and God alone. Crushmaster

Yet I have not died yet, and my actions between now and my death are not determined. So, saying I'm going to hell would not be a well-founded statement...

[QUOTE="CptJSparrow"]No, considering that it isn't as you describe it.CrushmasterProof? In Christ, Crushmaster. Your lack of proof.
Well, I tried to explain it. If you want to play semantics and reject what I said, that is up to you. I guess if one calls a swan a duck then that makes it a duck in your mind. Believe whatever you choose. God gives us a free will to do just that and he will be faithful in giving us the eternal destiny we choose for ourselves.

Do not 99.9% of religions have a god or deity? Do they not worship that god or deity? Is that not what you are doing?
You are part of a religion, whether you like it or not. Even Crushmaster calls it a religion.
You are misrepresenting the scriptures.....LJS9502_basic

Something like an allergy to stupidity...
It doesn't matter whether or not you believe in them. If I step out into a freeway with a bunch of trucks coming toward me, and I say, "I don't believe in trucks!", that won't change reality.
The fact of the matter is that you do have an eternal soul, and that you will have an eternal destiny - either eternal joy and bliss or eternal torment and pain.Crushmaster
Déjà vu, anyone?
Once again, you make an awful metaphor while proving something is fact because...well, you said so. Please, spare us the Bible quotes and websites and show us a soul, or two (preferably experiencing eternal joy or torment).
Because until you do, you won't have a leg to stand on. You may have one person taking you seriously (the other Jesus fan), but as for the rest of us, you're another single-serving amusement that will be forgotten by this time Monday.
The only reason I read any of what you say is the same reason I watch Brother Micah preach at my school, I find enjoyment in the embarrassing opinions of over-zealous preacher men.
[QUOTE="CptJSparrow"] Your lack of proof.CrushmasterUmm...that's not proof..... Generally one is lying when one does not provide proof for their claim.

How can God have decided whether or not a person is bound for Hell if they have not died yet?
God is omniscient. He knows all, the beginning and the end, He knows who will accept His plan of salvation in Christ and who will reject it, thus He knows the eternal destiny of each and every one of us.

That does not logically or necessarily follow. For example, if I claim my car is red, and it actually is, the fact that I choose not to show it to you or give you a photo of it to "proove it" does not mean that I am lying.

Seriously kid, does using the expression "et cetera" make you feel just a little bit more intellectual ? Because it's getting repetitive to the point where it's simply annoying.
