[QUOTE="Theokhoth"]9/11 conspiracy theories are no more valid or less ridiculous than moon-landing conspiracies or Holocaust-denial.Leejjohno

Dude... It's not even a conspiracy to say we didn't land on the moon; we just didn't :P.

MythBusters proved it. And what mythbusters says, goes. :P

I neither reject nor accept conspiracy theories.

I have no real reason to believe the truthers, but I realize their claims are within realms of possibility and it would be childish to instantly dismiss them on the grounds of "being conspiracy theories".

I hated that episode. They weren't impartial so I had a hard time taking their results seriously. I believe we landed on the moon, but when someone walks in determined to prove something wrong, does it, and then rubs it in everyones faces....I have to raise an eyebrow.

.......... The problem with the moon landing claim is we can actually see the landing site when they first landed decades back.. So a conspiracy theory can hardly work.. That being said back on topic.. No.. The closest thing I can suggest to a conspiracy theory is the possibility they knew something was going to happen and let it slip by to gain political strength.. Even that I consider a immense stretch.

Most 9/11 theories are easily debunkable.

But they aren't. They're dependent on information that is clearly inaccurate, and constantly use the same debunked claims over and over again.

Yeah, I am kinda big on that one as well. It was the first thing out of my mouth when they said the plane went down in a field. I still kinda think so to this day. I don't even blame them if they did, it would have been the only thing to do. Couldn't let the plane fly into the White House. Man, could you imagine if that happened?!? I just wish they would say it if they did it, but I understand why they wouldn't.

If the USA faked the moon landings, the Russians would have obviously known at the time and would never have let it go, It IS a conspiracy theory

What if the people on the plane actually did charge the controls? :|

That is a pretty big injustice to rob them of that heroic action based on government paranoia. If they actually did shoot it down I suspect they would have admitted it that day. It isn't as if people wouldn't have understood why they did it.

It's possible, but I still doubt heroics were involved. And I TOTALLY doubt that the government would have admitted it that day. Probably never. They just are not that open; most actions are classified for decades. We still don't know everything they know about JFK.

PS, as for the heroes claim, the people on the plane would not have known the proper time to rush the controls to ensure they crashed into a field. But the government would have known exactly when to shot out a wing in time for them to crash into an area they could control.

what about all the phon calls made from people on the plane where they mentioned plans to storm the cockpit?

what about the fact that air traffic controllers could hear a struggle in the cockpit, and an arabic voice threatening them with a bomb?

what about the flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder?

I will agree with that. And I support it 100% they were going to die anyways, so at least they didn't kill a bunch of people.

because I knew the plane had been taken over already. In fact, now that I think about it, when I heard that another plane had been hijacked, I said that it was probably gonna be shot down.

Here are two links about WTC 7 and the damage that was done to it by the collapse of WTC 1.

WTC7 Pull
Debunking 9/11 exclusive! ~ World Trade Center 7 South Side Hole

The fires in WTC 7 was fed by diesel fuel for the backup generators located throughout the building. Steel doesn't have to melt to cause a collapse, it just has to soften up and it can be seen with a lighter and a paper clip. The heated paper clip bends a whole lot easier once heated. Same goes for the 3 buildings that collapsed. While other buildings were damaged, some beyond repair, they didn't collapse due to not being on fire.

Others (like Pilots for 9-11 Truth or something like that) have said that passenger jets cannot fly faster than 500MPH, yet, the Crash of ValuJet Flight 592 shows that it is possible and leave little debris or just small pieces.

I have witnessed the work involved in demolitions. Blasters came in to blast the road bed and the walls leading to the old tunnel at the Downtown Tunnel between Norfolk, VA and Portsmouth, VA. It took weeks to blast the walls as they had to drill them first. This was before they stuffed 4" diameter dynamite into the holes. Same for the roadbed, they had to drill hundreds of holes before placing the dynamite. Det cord was strung everywhere. Where did they find det cord in the WTC buildings? I never heard the blasters say lets pull it before the flicked the switches to blast. I did get some cool pics of them blasting the walls. The tire mats flying into the air and big clouds of concrete dust flying all over the place.

Others in this thread said what I have been saying for years. Human nature will not allow someone to keep such a large operation quite. As I said, demolitions work is time consuming. It would have been noticed. Asking hundreds of people to be on planes on a certain day to be flown into buildings along with ground crews and flight crews would have been impossible to keep quite. Being that people hated President Bush, someone would most certainly have gone to the news to get such plans into the open. Humans cannot keep a secret. This extends to the families of those killed. We are talking thousands of people having to be in on it and for what purpose?

Conspiracy theorists do not accept facts and always want others to do the searching for answers instead of doing proper research to begin with.
