I never said they didn't say that. I said in practice it doesn't work that way. You aren't going to convince since I've seen the opposite in action. ALL prior moderations are looked at when they decide how to handle a new moderation. ALL. And time does not matter.

Am I the only one who finds it hilarious that all banned threads end up evolving into an arguement that has nothing to do with the user that has been banned?

'me and the other dude' are bothering to argue because you have no way of proving what you're claiming. You can tell me that 'it is', and that you 'know it is', and that 'you have experience with it', and that 'it is as you say' until you're blue in the face, but until you prove it, it counts for nothing. Despite the metric crapload of knowledge that being a vet apparently grants you.

And I'll just say this to step into the argument... this is what I do at least.
If I see someone trolling or flaming, I'll check the mod history first. Let's say the person has 5 Trolling moderations in the past month... I'll likely give out a day's suspension or more. Now lets say there were 5 trolling moderations from last year, and some of those were severe, but that user hasn't been modded in a year. More than likely I'll give out a point loss, unless if it's something minor, because the person has had several warnings but has cleaned up their act since then. The point is that the mod history follows you regardless, but I do take it into account if the person has gone a long time without any trouble.

Having a handful of moderations over the course of several years means to me that the individual does obey the rules. Nonetheless, what you've stated backs up what I said. Every moderation counts.
