So, MSNBC who have been riding the Clinton bandwagon since here nomination, have admitted to misled voters and all other democrats that Hillary would win the election by a landslide. They are taking responsibility of the outrage and apologize to those they criticize for predicting a Trump win.

They have admitted that they sacrificed journalistic integrity to propagandize against Trump and only focusing on shaming him and his camp. They felt that they have lost views and completely drained from this election

Here is a what they stated in this link

What we got wrong in the 2016 presidential election

If you believe in learning from your mistakes, here is everything we and plenty others seemed to get wrong in the general election:

  • That the poll numbers showing Donald Trump's percentage in the high 30s and low 40s couldn't grow;
  • That a seemingly stable race -- with Hillary Clinton holding a consistent lead -- wouldn't change at the end;
  • That the votes out of Urban America and its suburbs would overwhelm the votes out of Rural America;
  • That Clinton was the one expanding the political map versus Trump doing it;
  • That changing demographics assured Democratic success in presidential contests, unless the GOP made an explicit appeal to minority voters;
  • That the Obama coalition could be transferred to another Democrat;
  • That Trump couldn't win if he got a lower percentage of white voters than Mitt Romney did four years ago;
  • That the party's that's more united has the advantage in a presidential contest over the more divide party;
  • That the conventions and presidential debates actually mattered;
  • That a small band of partisans couldn't get away with trying to delegitimize the media;
  • And that a presidential candidate who demolished so many norms (not releasing tax returns, talking about jailing an opponent, threatening not to respect the election's outcome) would pay a price for them in the end.

Well nice of him to admit that the media is part of the problem but not only that they've totally defamed Donald Trump and made this fake persona out of him that he's some kind of evil, racist, bigot, sexist, homophobe which in turn has lead to the violence and rioting that is happening right now. You've got headlines on facebook trending "KKK for Donald Trump", how is that Trump's fault exactly? Because he's white? Nice one facebook, fueling racial hatred for no good reason. The media is inciting hatred and division.

Yep, it was also the same way they did to Bernie Sanders when he gained momentum and won the popular vote for the nomination.

Aside from being straight up evil I mostly got the rest of your examples from the things he has said and done. He has personally called huge swaths of Mexicans criminals and rapists, muslims need to be kicked out of the country, wants to deport 11 million people, referred to Megan Kelley as having "blood come out of her, wherever" and many more. The media isn't making this stuff up, just replaying the audio. That's basically the media's job.

Mainstream news should be unbiased instead of cherry picking sound bites and polls. The worse thing they do is use minorities as pawns as if they owe their allegiance to the democrats.

I still have a photo of a NY Times forecast that Hillary had a 92% chance of winning. And Trump a 8%. Apparently those numbers further went in Hillary's favor.

This election was certainly a collapse of professional, objective, neutral, and honest journalism. The media, particularity the left leaning ones. Got way ahead of themselves. They surely became cheerleaders, instead of reporting what's happening on the ground. In doing so, they also did discourage Clinton supporters from going out to vote. And by the time the electoral votes were stacking in Trump's favor. It was already too late.

So perhaps my favorite outcome of this election. Is both major parties need reforms to stay revelant. The status quo is no longer enough. And the media got humbled big time for misleading their viewers. By controlling the flow of information via shutting up any opposition or suggestion. That Trump could still win.

Yet, they never took consideration of looking into Hillary's background and instead use the political machine to make her look like a saint. That is what MSNBC is trying to say, they sacrifice their journalistic duty and integrity to become propagandist.

Well that's good that they acknowledged misjudging the polls, numbers, etc. However I wouldn't blame them for defaming his character, he did that all by himself.

Watching the election night results as their partisan political hackery turned to ashes around them was one of the greatest things I have ever been lucky enough to witness.

I just spent the night flipping from CNN to MSNBC to TYT.

Oh man. Good times.

Special shout out to Van Jones weeping as he talked about the "WHITELASH" and "what (gasp) about (pant pant) the children!!!!"

*oh yeah and CNN starting out the night with the electoral count bar graph for Clinton at 268. classic, just classic.

definitely a big part of this was liberals not voting because the media convinced them that the chance of trump becoming president was 0.02%. This will be a a case study for the BIGGEST epic FAIL moments in american history. A coup de tat you could say done using a trojan horse that was slipped in at a time the liberals were already partying and celebrating the hilary clinton win. Now that people figured out what happened, they are all enraged that their house was robbed while they were in a drunken stupor.

2 things that I think should happen in the future: Allow election voting to proceed even while the votes are being tallied, until we get to a point that 50-60% of all the votes of every state is tallied which is when we close the polls for good to get to the end count. If that were to happen, then I think liberals would have gotten off their asses immediately after seeing how close the damn race was. It would have been a mad rush to the polls for both democrats AND republicans to make sure trump didn't get elected. Instead we have this system of "MERRY CHRISTMAS" or "SURPRISE!", no takesies backsies for the next 4 years EHEHE! Well shit, this is the damn presidential election, why is there no countermeasures to prevent a trojan victory??

The second thing that should happen in the future if the 1st isn't effective is to make not voting ILLEGAL. A fine must be paid if you decide not to vote...a fine of lets say $100, which will be collected and used to pay down the national debt.

@Riverwolf007: TYT was so delicious, especially Ana Kasparian's meltdown. She doesn't see how much a smug and hypocrit she is for blaming white women idiots and how stupid they were.

I'm glad that they are doing some soul searching, but there is a factor they left out here. If you look at the popular vote, Donald Trump got about the same numbers that Republicans generally get. Democrats just stayed home.

NeverTrumpers were full of crap and come to vote for him in the end.

Bernie or Bust folks stuck to their guns and didn't.

We liberals will repeatedly punch ourselves in the dick to make a statement. Sad.

"Much better than you"

"you are garbage"

You are deplorable"

"100% of you"

The comedy was never ending between cnn and msnbc. Watching adults cry and meltdown was a beautiful thing to see. The media still hasn't learned though. Jones basically said those voting for Trump were racists and unless I missed it and I hope I did, he didn't apologize but that is expected from liberal cnn.

Yeah, the Alinsky book says double down and that is the playbook running the show.

Does it make one racist to support a person who says racist bigoted things? Perhaps and perhaps not, but it vastly increases the chances of racist policies being enacted in my view.

Obviously you pay attention and you know if a white man pulled the same stunt with minorities voting for Obama, he'd have to apologize along with wondering if he would still be employed. The words of this man are not unique as the Democrats have been known to falsely trumpet the cause of tolerance. I've never seen a bigger group of self absorbed assholes. Regardless if the realization hits them or not, people (voters) hold a great deal of resentment against these kinds of people who are completely hypocritical.

The "blame" can only go one direction and i wont even say the media.

The DNC and Hillary. The media definitely shares some of the blame, but the majority needs to go to the DNC and Hillary for conspiring and colluding to remove Bernie from the picture. Had it been business as usual, we would have seen Bernie beat her and on Jan 20th we would be swearing in someone who could have easily been one of the best presidents in history.

But the DNC is now simply a wing of the republican party, er, i should not even say that... a wing of corporatism that does not concern itself at all, with 80% of the public's desires, concerns or needs.

@kod: Media is partly to blame..they were hyping evil Hillary to win.

Yup when media becomes so bias..& corrupted getting all the media on your sides to push for 1 candidate to win screwing over other potential candidates...glad evil Hillary didn't win. They were so sure they were gonna win that they got arrogant..that losing was impossible their mind..that's why they hurt so much now. :P

Yep, There was an interview from CNN that they cut short because a Muslim woman, who was very liberal, voted for Trump because she believed that the Left refuses to debate issues with the Right, calling themselves smart and good, while the right are dumb and stupid. The condescending attitude that the Liberal Media showed that people were too afraid to speak their minds, and so they voted for trump.

I just watched it a few seconds ago!

It stinks of censorship. They cut her off when she spoke about the muslim woman at the Democratic rally a few months back who recieved no introduction or said any words.

definitely a big part of this was liberals not voting because the media convinced them that the chance of trump becoming president was 0.02%.

I doubt it. Reality is a lot of people don't vote. I think there was around 120 million votes cast in this election out of a population of something like 330 million people. That's a lot of people just not giving a shit. I personally know several people who preferred Trump but didn't bother voting. So both sides lose votes to that.

South Park totally called it! Even fatty mcfat, fat Michael Moore had it right on the money. No one else listened. Pretended like he never stood a chance saying, "He's just a joke anyway. Let him whine. When the election comes on, then we'll take it seriously." But look where things are now!

As tempting as it is to mock Trump and I don't doubt he'll be a horrible president, he did it! He defied the odds and literally destroyed everything conspiracy theories thought they knew about the election.

@blaznwiipspman1: While this isn't the dumbest thing I've read since Trump won, its still cringe worthy and pretty high on the derp list.

So you want to change how things are done in some vein hope that next time it would help out your liberal candidate? And fine people who choose not to vote, their right mind you to not vote, again in some lame attempt to "rig" the system in your favor...Bwahahahaha, my god I see liberals haven't learned a thing from this election.

Yet Hillary did win the American vote, Trump didnt. The American people didnt vote for Trump.

We're not talking about a landslide here.

Hillary lost it and she lost it because of who she is. 60% of this nation makes 30k or less a year and has 1k or less in savings. So while Trump was going to rally's with attendance by the 10s of thousands of underemployed, out of work, laborers and telling them that they can barely feed their family because of this system created against them a system that for 30 years Hillary has been a part of perpetuating. Hillary was running a month long campaign against Pepe the goddamn frog. As if we dont have real problems in thsi country... no pepe the frog, a meme, is where she decided to go.

She didnt appeal to people. She only appealed to the establishment democrats, those who buy into establishment democrat nonsense and people who play the sex game. Which is not what progressives, the people she needed to appeal to, wanted to see. We didnt want to see someone who feels entitled to be president, we wanted someone who would earn our vote and she didnt even come close.

This is all the fault of the DNC for pushing a candidate that no one wanted to the point where they were willing to commit election fraud.

And hey, maybe it was the right choice of two. The TPP is already dead after the election. Something we know she really wanted to install.

you try to classify me as a "liberal or a republican" but im more independent than anything else. I agreed with trumps hard line stance on immigration, disagreed strongly with his attacks on minorities, hated his science denierism, but at the same time I felt he had charisma and energy. For clinton, I liked her ideas on raising the minimum wage and her progressive attitude towards climate change. On the other hand, I didn't like her character and felt she was too well connected with corporations.

For me in the end, I used my old "follow the money trail" rule...who was the one hiding behind the shadows and REALLY running for election . There are always false accusations, hot air and BS flung during elections, which makes it hard to gauge information accurately and make any proper decisions. On the other hand money never lies, it is the most honest thing in the world. Hilary Clinton was supported by the big banks, silicon valley and big box retail stores (walmart). Donald Trump was supported by big oil corporations and big pharmaceutical corporations. I felt that Donald Trumps' funders would do more damage to Americans overall, than Hilary Clintons' funders. Big oil has an energy agenda, to do whatever they can to slow down global warming regulations, and big pharma would do whatever they can to scrap universal health care. Which is why I went with Clinton.

You have to understand...politicians are full of shit 99% of the time, they are always in it for themselves. To understand their agenda you need to follow the money.

@kod: The poor people voted for Hillary, not Trump. The only bracket to vote for Hillary was the 35k income and 75k joint income and lower. Yet she still won the American vote.

The wealthiest income brackets voted Trump cause he promised them the biggest tax breaks in this Nations history. Yet the American people still chose Hillary, not Trump.

Nice of them to admit the situation......after the fact. They systematically pushed each of these narratives during the election, and now fake contrition. I still remember those CBS tapes with Les Monnves. They dont give a shit about the truth or reporting it. I hope these networks

news capability dies off. They do nothing to deserve the faith and respect they think they deserve.

.. The poorest states in the Union are deep red, and have been that way for decades. But don't tell me, the only reason why they vote that way is because they are racist and misogynist.. Am I right?

.............. Are you high? Clinton was the wallstreet insider.. She was backed by the elite of the country and dwarfed Trump's funds by four fold.. She had the media in her corner the entire election.. If you keep thinking like this, don't be shocked when we see the exact same thing happens in 2020..

Trump was backed by the Oil Industry, Exonn, Shell, BP and big pharmaceuticals: Johson and Johnson, Pfizer, etc. Trump didn't need much funds because a)he is already filthy rich himself and b) the media was doing FREE publicity for him due to his entertainment value as an idiot.

Trump might be re elected but if I am right, then he will do enough stupid things, that by 2020 people will be begging him to leave.

................... Hillary Clinton was backed by the same companies at a greater scale.. Yet Trump being filthy rich only allowed him to raise a quarter of the money of Hillary.... We have emails from the WikiLeaks that basically saying that the DNC was pushing media and lobbying groups to cover Trump more than any other Republican candidate, because they thought he would be the best candidate for Clinton to run against.. Furthermore Trump was adamantly against the corporate wet dream of the TPP, something all the major corporations wanted to have pass.. Guess who was for it? Clinton.

And it seems like the DNC didn't get the message because they have already stated they were hopeful of having Clinton's VP running in 2020.. Pretty much illustrating they haven't learned a damn thing.. And for the record I am not Trump supporter, nor even a Republican.. I voted Stein this election, the most liberal of candidates.

Yah, ive found this narrative rather funny.

Before the election the democrats LOVED highlighting how the only people supporting Trump was poor uneducated whites often described as "privileged" but still trailer trash (and ironically mostly from college students who's parents are spending 80k for them to drink and spend all day bitching about the privilege of white people). Now, all the sudden it was a bunch of rich people. After the fact they finally realized (instead of listening to people to begin with) the working class wanted nothing to do with Hillary, we have to change the story.

I know what you're citing and its bogus polling that does not represent anything. Its a total of 30,000 people from the richest and most affluent polling stations. Areas with the lowest house costing 300k. Not the area's of 1500 dollars a month income, where they would have only needed to visit one to get 30,000 examples, not what was it? 11?

Id also like to mention that as shown above, the republicans pretty much got the same number of votes they always do. It was the progressives that could not find themselves voting for Hillary or Trump and more decided to note vote than to vote as i did, for Jill.

So, Trump didnt win, Hillary simply could not do what she needed to do. This is exactly what people said in the democratic primaries. We knew what would happen if she was elected over Bernie but people didnt care. They wanted to tout Hillary because vagina. Fact is the democrats did exactly what the republicans did in 08 and 2012. They lived in a bubble that facts, rational conversation and reality simply bounced off of. This is why on election night i was laughing my ass off, it was a comedy to me watching these democrats who where told what would happen based on history and data, but had to live in that bubble, freaked out and imploded the exact same way Fox News did in 08 and 2012.

This is the comedy gold i saw Tuesday:

"GOD WHY?!?!? Why didnt the Pepe the frog attacks work?!?! I know you have to work 50 hours a week to bring in 26k and cant save for the future, your childs college or have affordable health coverage. But i can! And i felt the Pepe the Frog issue, really tackled the problem!"

"WTF! Why didnt it work when we called people sexist and attempted to shame them into voting for Hillary instead of focusing on the things the country most wants to address.... i dont get it. How could this happen?When someone called me a sexist i decided to vote for Hillary afterward and i scored 140 on an online IQ test"

And the best:

"What do you mean hes winning the female vote? Man, "internalized misogyny" is worse than we thought!"

Sorry, i had to a bit of ranting and laugh there. Its absurd what we saw from the democrats, it wouldn't work as they were told by progressives, and many still have not learned their lesson. That bubble still wants to exist.

@ronvalencia: Of course some did, i was generalizing. Majority from the wealthiest brackets voted for Trump too. But he still lost the American peoples vote.
