In case I didnt recommed you music, here is a fantastic site where I find most of my favorite bands:D

http://www.progarchives.com/

I will try to get to you as many of you guys as I can, but there are some genres I am not so well researched in. Japanese rock music for example I never really got into.

I love Underground/Old School HipHop
Such as Wu Tang, DMX, 2Pac, Nas, Gangstarr, Army of Pharaos, Big L, Guru, Dj Premier, Necro, Jeru The Demaja, KMD, MF Doom, KRS-ONE, Immortal Technique, The Roots, Jurassic 5 and many more.

If you can name any similiar to this then i'll be happy. If you name any mainstream then i'll .........!

Welis

Fortunatly I like underground hip hop. Try Blue sky black death, aesop rock, why, and Saul Williams.

Okay then, Bands - Queens of the Stone Age, System of a Down, Smashing Pumpkins, Stereophonics, Massive Attack, Incubus, Velvet Revolver, The Strokes, Bad Religion, The Raconteurs, The Bravery, Stone Temple Pilots, Modest Mouse, U2, Nine Inch Nails, Weezer (blue album Weezer), Radiohead, Alice in Chains, and more that would take a while to type.

Genres - Alternative, indie, grunge, punk, alternative metal, trip-hop, psychedelic rock, sludge metal, experimental (in bold for a reason), hard rock, progressive, progressive metal, funk, neo-progressive rock, art rock, ambient, industrial.

I guess you've got a lot of stuff to work with there and yeah I'm bored.

Ok this getting a bit crazy, I realize I cannot satisfy everyone, so what I will do is write up a big list of bands from tons of genres that you guys can look at. You an also look back on thread to see what else I have recommended. Right now though give me some time to make a big list, I also need to eat eventually. I will still get into specific recommendations, and I welcome PM messages if you didnt get your recommendation:)

Reccomend me some Funk. These are the musicians I listen to: Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Shuggie Otis, Sly and the Family Stone, Curtis Mayfield, George Clinton and his groups, The Undisputed Truth, The Chamber Brothers, Betty Davis, Earth Wind and Fire, and The Isley Brothers. Funk and soul is hard to distinguish, but if you can keep the soul out.

I'm a HUGE fan of video game soundtracks (Especially those done by Jeremy Soule), and Movie Soundtracks. My favorite genres are rock, classical, and Alternative.

Examples are:

Soundtracks: Total Annihilation, Knights of the Old Republic 1/2, Halo, Mass Effect, Star Wars, The Matrix, Advent Children, and Sweeney Todd.

Bands: Five Iron Frenzy, Billy Talent, Linkin Park, Becoming The Archetype, Family Force 5, and Relient K.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

P.S. Any good examples of Symphonic Rock would be nice.

I'm different from the rest of OT. :| I don't listen to bands. I listen to R&B. Hip-Hop, and Rap.amirbrandon
There are many people who like hip hop on OT. Unfortunatly im not one of them.

I never claimed to be all knowing and forgiving. You wont accept music even in genres you like. I dont like rap and probably never will. Ther is a marginal difference.
