[QUOTE="Birdy09"] Im not offended im just pointing out that that video has the same hate that he is talking about towards westerners, and stereotyping us all. claiming that he is right in absolution, this part of the topic needed to die ages ago, ff fanatik has derailed the thread.
I can see to some degree why your religion states that alcohol is sinful. it harms many, but brings joy to many. your religion seems to work in absolutes instead of simply just preaching self control ( the woman covering up to avoid rape issue that has been brought up already.) The topic is about this woman, and your religeon would deem it wrong, so would most others, but then, religeon only guides our countries now, it doesnt dominate and enforce.
what harm is there in nudity to anything? why is our natural body an insult to us outside of the bedroom/close family? Some justification would be nice, why are you taught that it is sinful? are there passages that elaborate? otherwise I cant see much reason to listen to an unjustified law.

Well, islam forbids sex outside of marriage, Islam also forbids anything that can lead to it. Also, Islam tells us to be modest.
{ And come not near to the unlawful sexual intercourse. Verily,it is aFahishah[i.e. anything that transgresses its limits (a great sin)], andan evil way)
[Surah Israa' 17:32]
i know what you're thinking. you saw something on the news that conflicts with what i said (honor killings, maybe forced marriage?). neither of those belong in islam, they are dragged from ancient cultures which people refuse to let go. word of warning: you will see things about islam on tv and on the news and you should understand not all of those things are islamic. people tend to get confused about culture and islam and will spew out culture under the label of islam. for outsiders this is very difficult to understand and often causes misunderstandings.
i hope i've gotten you a centimetre closer to understanding islam. if i haven't, that's ok, neither of us hangs in the balance of life and death.
