I don't get what there is to like about that eyesore of children's programming. The art is ugly, but then again I guess the fact it's essentially a flash comic appeals to the internet crowd. Those same rabid fans say it's about the "morals and friendship" that the show supposedly exemplifies, but haven't they had those virtues instilled in them by someone or something else (like the hundreds of other kids' shows out there) in the past? If not it'd certainly explain a few things about the fans of the show, that's for sure. Otherwise I haven't a clue as to why anyone would watch it.

I guess in that regard it's comparable to any other sort of fandom community (such as juggalos, otakus, etc.). Meh.

Nice to see someone giving it a go, an opinion on the show is acceptable to me so long as someone has seen enough of it to reach a fair conclusion.

Although the first batch of episodes aren't the best the show has to offer, that's for sure.

While obviously the show isn't going to satisfy everyone's tastes; it is not terrible by any stretch of the imagination. It is objectively superior, quality wise, to every other cartoon aimed at young girls and perhaps most other contemporary cartoons.

Have you watched the show enough to come to that conclusion? If so, I understand. It's not for everyone and for some people, it is simply a stupid cartoon to them. Like all other stupid cartoons out there.

For example, I don't get why some people love Naruto or Dragon Ball Z so much. But I don't go around bashing their fans.

This is the internet. You can't have a pro-XYZ movement without having at least one anti-XYZ movement to correspond, and a whole host of individuals who are at the VERY least annoyed, amused, ambivalent, etc. People can't be expected not to say what they think, even on GS (within certain guidelines) in a thread that is basically inviting them to discuss the subject of the fandom.

Don't take it personally. Taking it personally is spoiling my view of the bronies (or fronies)! I expect you guys to be in character and just kill us with lots of kindness and goodwill.
