While a lot of the hype on the internet is a meme (especially the pushy 'fans'), there's nothing wrong with guys watching the show. I have no clue why everybody is so confused by the notion of a guy watching it. It's a completely different show from the early My Little Pony show, and was made to have more universal appeal.

it's the pushy fans and the stupid meme then that are causing the issue. define "girly" it's a ridiculous term that those alpha male types use, that are against anything even remotely resembling emotion. Like good "tear jerker" dramas. seen plenty of good ones with friends and/or my mother. A lot would call those "girly", I would never think them to be so.
