Of all the problems that face our world and American society this is the battle he's picking...what a tool! This pisses me off and I don't even smoke.
I doubt Obama ordered this at all, this stuff is usually handled by the Attorney General Eric Holder, the "Drug Czar" Gil Kerlikowske, and the DEA, and lately they've been saying how the IRS has been getting involved.lamprey263Due to the fact that a move like this would be looked at as action being taken by the "Obama administration"he knew about and approved this.
It's just gonna force it underground. People are still going to get it, and the government just lost a potential revenue stream.
Why do we need weed again? Anyone?PS2_ROCKSBecause it will never go away and people like to get high? And this is some bogus news.
Why do we need weed again? Anyone?PS2_ROCKSIts the best medicine, makes you feel awesome, makes music better , food better, life better, doesnt kill anyone, and cigarettes and alcohol are legal which kill thousands.
Btw i smoked for like a month 2 years ago and quit because i felt guilty seeing my parents after i did it. So that shows how its not addictive.
Its not Obama people...its the IRS. The president doesn't have that much power geez :roll:MgamerBDSeriously, are we seriously blaming Obama for everything now?
[QUOTE="MgamerBD"]Its not Obama people...its the IRS. The president doesn't have that much power geez :roll:nintendoboy16Seriously, are we seriously blaming Obama for everything now?So you think that the president would have no role in such a significant crackdownand that he would know nothing about it? Any major political policy moves like this would not happen unless it passed by the presidents desk regardless of what agency is performing the crackdown.
[QUOTE="MgamerBD"]Its not Obama people...its the IRS. The president doesn't have that much power geez :roll:nintendoboy16Seriously, are we seriously blaming Obama for everything now? Obama approved it. Besides, people seemed to blame Bush for everything, why not Obama? Let's be fair.

Nowhere in that article or the other articles by the Associated Press say anything about Obama approving this. So your stance is to fight ignorance with ignorance?

Every time you "make life better" you raise the bar. Eventually sober life doesn't cut it anymore and you need a hit just to feel normal. I'm not speculating here I know first hand. I know how much money it can drain too, and I know that quitting after smoking it on a regular basis for 20 years is pretty darn difficult.Even licensed outlets operating under the 1996 voter-approved medical-marijuana law are subject to the federal crackdown.Article
Because f*** democracy.

Judging by his term, not much, really. :P

I never thought about that part but your right. If anything was voted into law wether it be state or federal it should be respected by our government. That is disturbing...First part is true. And it definitely sucks your money up. I paid almost $60 a week for 10 years just to feel normal. Smoked for about 15 years total and eventually got tired of it and decided to quit recently and the only side effect I had is that I had a hard time sleeping/sweat like crazy for a few days. So if you ask me it's all about mindset. If you're ready to quit then it's really not that big of a deal. If you're not it's just like anything else you do for a long time...you're gona miss it and really just want to smoke. Either way im sorry to hear about this considering how many people's lives it's going to ruin. Especially when I thought we were finally headed in the right direction. What they need to do is decriminalize it or just make it legal and turn it into a taxable product. It would take a huge chunk out of government spending one way when you take into account how much is spent fighting it in the court/prison system and the DEA. And help our money problems immensely the other.Eventually sober life doesn't cut it anymore and you need a hit just to feel normal. I'm not speculating here I know first hand. oh god, so now the president has no call in the enforcement of federal regulations? obama apologists are worse than bush's.
I guess there's no chance of legalizing marijuana in the US,now is there? what a shame
TheShadowLord07
I think it'll happen eventually. Just not anytime soon, apparently.
I don't understand why medical marijuana is so villainized when there are plenty of legal prescriptions that have far worse side effects. I'm disappointed in the Obama administration for doing this.
Yeah, I'm sure that was Obama's personal decision. He doesn't have, say, an Attorney General who's in charge of a Justice Department staffed with thousands of lawyers.ElraptorThat's true but such a big policy move such as this the Attorney General would be in contact with the president about this before action was taken. For instance, do you think the Attorney General would make a move on illigal immigration enforcement without the presidents approval?

I know. Im suppose to be taking this "happy" pill but my mother doesnt want me to take it. she's afraid I might end up in the hospital like one of her co workers she use to knowSince it's never been legal in the US....I'm not seeing any change in policy.LJS9502_basicwut? it was legal before it was made illegal with the stamp act,and even then it is not illegal per se, you just needed an authorized stamp that was never printed so you could sell it

Yep, this is ALL Obama's fault. Nothing to do with congress or the previous administration or anything.
In fact lets also blame him for the economy crashing and give the previous administration all the credit when Osama is killed, all while hating on any new concepts he might present. Yep.
Every president gets blamed for what transpires while they are in office. It's not like this is isolated to one president.:|Yep, this is ALL Obama's fault. Nothing to do with congress or the previous administration or anything.
