I should be angry, but I'm not really. I am actually excited cause I know for a fact that Obama is going to fail...hard. I am just counting the days til it happens.

MetroidPrimePwn

So you're excited for the "fact" that you think Obama's going to ruin your countries.

Great American values as always from the NeoConservatives. But, hey, as long you get a stab at them darn communist nazi liberals...

Nice name calling there. You guys really have alot on your plate. Don't forget that Talk Radio is gonna rip Obama a new one on every single socialist bill he signs (which will be every single one).

Speaking of NeoCons, Mann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, and Sean Hannity are probably crying themselves to sleep now in the same bed, sucking each other's thumb.

:'(

princeofshapeir

I hope Sean Hannity never gets out of bed, so I never have to deal with the autonomous cringes I get whenever I hear him call himself a "real conservative".

Well I've been sat in front the computer watching the election for over 7 hours, me thinks its time to go wake up the rest of Britain and tell them the news.

Good night America and good luck.

It's odd really; in the UK we're fed up of huge government and ten years of liberals in power, and the hot ticket for the election is a young, fairly new conservative. It's like the mirror opposite of what you have in the states right now.

Personally, i think if any party is in power for too long it becomes tired, bloated and loses direction, be it left-wing or right.

Rush Limbaugh and his NeoCon radio buddies will attempt to rip Obama for all he's worth, even if he does a fantastic job as President. People like them and Keith Olbermann see things in black and white, and that's not what Obama wants or what the country wants. Go back to Alaska with Sarah and QQ with her if you expect pity.

You're ignoring simple logic here:

The president cannot ruin the country. It's borderline impossible. Look at Nixon. Look at Bush. The entire nation was united in disapproval of their presidencies, yet did they cause the apocalypse? Did life as we know it collapse? No. Because the President simply doesnt have the power to do that.

You live in a nation founded under the principle of a separation of powers. Simply put, Obama cannot ruin America. The constitution's entire purpose was to ensure that no individual had the power to do that.

Um, dude, get over it. After the public has been so fed up of having a Republican President, they naturally switched over to Democrat. After 4-12 years of the Democrat president, they'll switch power back to the Republican party after it turns out the Democrats don't fix every single problem in the control. It's cyclical. People get tired of one side, move to the other, get tired again, move again, it happens every time. Just wait a few years if you're so mad about our new president.

It's the issue of complacency and the average voter hates it, its just a shame that the only resort for Britain is a complete U-turn. But out political system bases a lot less importance on the leader of the country than America so it measures itself out.

Democrats have a super majority now. The separation of powers is not going to mean anything. Democrats love to abuse the Judicial branch to get liberal laws through. Just wait.

You guys are gonna be more angry at Obama in four years than you were at Bush. Obama economics is literally going to cause our economy to collapse followed by a massive global collapse. Lets just hope that Obama doesn't make his tax plan retroactive. Wouldn't that be fun. Change is coming. Trust me it is coming haha.

Please stop talking. The majority of people agree in Obama being the best person to lead the U.S. let alone the fact that the majority of the world dislikes the U.S. BECAUSE of the republican party and what's it's done for the past 8yrs. I know you and other Repubs think you know better than the WORLD but ummm yeah.... Obama will bring the ecomony back, help the states safe face around the world but also gain respect in the foreign department.

And not shocked about Prop 8 looking to go through. Sad...

First of all, Congratulations to Barrack Obama for being the first African-American U.S. President. This is a historic night indeed. The winning speech he gave was absolutely brilliant. Every eye and ear was tuned to President Obama from being to end of that speech. Even McCain's losing speech was very well done.

As for Talk Radio, they suck an most people don't listen to that crap. Every President gets ripped for something or another. Bush has been getting ripped for the last 8 years on just about everything he does. So it's nothing new. Barrack I'm sure will handling it more professionally then Bush ever did. Change is good, and I'm happy we'll finally have a leader who will actually help the people of the U.S. and not the top 50 companies on wallstreet.

I don't wish anything ill on my country, but that doesn't mean it won't happen. Logic tells me that if Obama trys to do what he says he wants to do it will fail. With a super majority Democrat Congress and a Democrat Pres things are going to be really scary. We are going to see some of the most radical laws come about.

MadExponent

They have 14 more seats in the senate and 239 seats in the house, compared to 156 republican (so far). That's not an epic majority. You seem to really WANT to believe that America is going to collapse. The simple fact is, if Obama's policies arent good for the country, they wont be passed. America's legislators do not operate on a completely partisan basis, they operate as individuals representing their constituents, which is who they directly answer to.

And if Obama DOES ruin the country like you're so sure of, the democrats will simply be kicked out of congress in the mid terms and he'll be powerless to do anything.

Face it, the world isnt going to end, even if you want it to.

He said that he's "excited" because he knows that Obama will fail. That basically implicitly means that he's excited that America will run into problems.

No QQ here haha. Far from it. Just shocked. America really has taken a turn for the worse. Don't take my word for it. Just wait a few months.

MadExponent

You're ignoring simple logic here:

The president cannot ruin the country. It's borderline impossible. Look at Nixon. Look at Bush. The entire nation was united in disapproval of their presidencies, yet did they cause the apocalypse? Did life as we know it collapse? No. Because the President simply doesnt have the power to do that.

You live in a nation founded under the principle of a separation of powers. Simply put, Obama cannot ruin America. The constitution's entire purpose was to ensure that no individual had the power to do that.

Democrats have a super majority now. The separation of powers is not going to mean anything. Democrats love to abuse the Judicial branch to get liberal laws through. Just wait.

LOL I literally laughed out loud which I don't do often when I type lol even

My god, please... the Republicans abuse of power go hand in hand. Are the democrats spotless? No. But the Republicans have insanely abused their power... this past admin alone has done enough abuse of power for a lifetime honestly. I mean the kind of stuff they did and got away with while it was known to the media, if that happened in many foreign countries like in Europe there would be a gigantic protest let alone a riot of the abuse. Don't bother going there when the Republicans are the dictionary example of abuse of power of our time.

Sad...

battlefront23

Uh you do realize that in the popular vote Obama won by merely 3 million votes? :|

You do realize I was talking about the world right?

I was going to say that. It wasn't a landslide, unless you only count electoral votes. On that subject why does California have 55 and Texas 34 and 95% of the other states have 5 or less? Why is that?

He seeks not ill for his country. He KNOWS ill to be inevitable, and he hopes the American people will see this and will vote differently 4 years from now.

GabuEx

He said that he's "excited" because he knows that Obama will fail. That basically implicitly means that he's excited that America will run into problems.

I know exactly what he means though and I think he merely stated it the wrong way. Now that the Dems are in control of all 3 branches of this country, they will tamper with the Constitution. Now that just scares me but that's beside the point. I hope Obama will do well, but I am almost certain he will fail. Badly. But good can come from bad circumstances. That's what I think he meant.

Anyways congratulations Democrats you have your guy. Lets hope he doesn't mess things up worse. So for now I guess I am going to be watching reruns of The Twilight Zone for the next 4 years.MadExponent

That's what I was doing for the past 8 years.

It can't get any worse then where it's at right now. The economy and deficit was very bad when Clinton took over to. He got the U.S. deficit down and did a very good job get America back on it's feet. Then another Bush got into office and the U.S. has like a $100 trillion deficit left once again for the Democrats to clean up. All Ruplicans do is spend, spend, spend and destroy our economy. Every time a Republican's in office the U.S. going into turmoil. I hope we never have another Republican President while I'm still alive on this Earth.

Ah, really? That's weird. Pennsylvania has the 5th highest amount (I believe), but I didn't think it ranked that high population wise. I live in PA btw.

The states with the most people in their population gets more electoral votes. Same goes for people represented in the House of Representatives.

Ninja-Hippo

You act like you think I don't understand politics or something...I understand all too well. I guess I do feel good knowing that conservatives will take back Congress.

Unless 52% is not a majority, it's still the case that a majority of people agree that Obama is the best person to lead the US.

I was going to say that. It wasn't a landslide, unless you only count electoral votes. On that subject why does California have 55 and Texas 34 and 95% of the other states have 5 or less? Why is that?

howlrunner13

It's roughly proportional to population. California has 33 million residents; Wyoming has less than a million.

And Bush hasnt popped a squat on the constitution already? Are you honestly saying that the Supreme Court will completely dismiss the entire point of their existance and will amend the constitution, or circumvent it, on partisan lines? Seriously?
