Bingo. Why should the republicans get another four years? They shouldn't have even had (at the least) the last four. The fact of the matter is this country has taken a nose dive under the Bush administration. If Obama can win this I'd be so proud of this country for making the right choice in the most important election in U.S. history.

TREAL_Since

Why don't you do a little research on why this country is in this mess in the first place instead of just pointing the finger at Bush or the republicans, when for one the Democrats have been running the senate for four years and you can thank BARNEY FRANK democrat I might add that was part of the financial committe for Freddie Mac and Fanny Mae, who are two huge reasons why this country is in the economic mess that it is in now. But nooo everyone believes it is Bush he is a convienent punching bag and an easy scape goat. Just shows on uninformed people really are.

good post and all 100% true.

LMAO! How about both sides stop acting like a bunch of little *****es and realize that it's both parties fault. Like little kids on the play ground pointing fingers. Give me a break.

QFT. We need to realize this and get away from baises and partisanship.

Missouri looks close and Dakota looks good for Obama

GabuEx

At this point, I think that the actual election results are a bit more important than the polls. :P

Obama is down about 20,000 votes in Missouri and St. Louis, Kansas City, and Columbia are all in. I don't see where he gets the votes to put himself over the top there.

North Dakota wasn't really close; McCain won with 53% of the vote.

I'm interested cause it's history man, the bigger the margin the more amazing it is to look back at this years and decades and centuries from now. So it does mean something.

Ideals Republicans have been pushing quite strongly these past eight years.

Earning respect through righteous action is one thing, demanding it through fearmongering and intimidation is another entirely.

Ideals such as these need to die if America is to truly be respected on the global stage.

Mafiree

"walk softly and carry a big stick"

Hey, never said America shouldn't be able to defend itself, but there isn't a need to assert that notion quite as often as we do.

Does depend on the situation

Europe has no reason to be a target of us agression or even threat of it atm.

"Fear" can definatly be an important foreign policy tool. I did not vote for Obama but, I know our country will be safe under his leadership beacuse of this.

Indeed, fear can be an effective tool but...look where it's gotten us. The United States is hated by a great many nations on the world stage because of our actions.

We've definitely got some bridges to repair after this is all said and done.

LMAO! How about both sides stop acting like a bunch of little *****es and realize that it's both parties fault. Like little kids on the play ground pointing fingers. Give me a break.

So by using your logic would that mean that everything bad that has happened in the past 8 years isn't Bush's fault? Love to hear how you spin your answer.

The_Game21x

On the flip side, if you think that logic is faulty, then why are you using it to explain why you think Obama and the Democrats will supposedly bring about the death of America?

For ANYONE to believe that Obama and Democrats (or even McCain and Republicans) will bring the "Death of America" is downright foolish! Grow up. And if you are grown, try to make sense of yourself. WOW!

Both candidates have the country's best interest at heart. There are just different ways of handeling the tasks we have at hand. And no matter who the President is during this time, it will be a tough challenge.

Actually, don't count the No on Prop 8 crowd out yet. The margin has narrowed since polls closed and results first started trickling in, and Los Angeles County is still only at 16% reporting.

Thank you and with that disrespectful and rude comment you pretty much cross out anyone taking anything you say serious or as something we should seriously debate about. This is not the United Earth of America. If you don't know the importance of... you know.... relations with... EVERYONE. They you know literally next to nothing about politics

kcpp2b

Disrepectful maybe but true. "They you know"? I think you mean "then" rather then "they". Oh and sir I know my share bit of politics so how about refuting my claims rather then mocking me? ;)

Completely untrue. If anything, a decade of liberal government is producing widespread approval of more conservative politics.

EDIT: as for "who the hell cares what other countries think of us?" Well, we live in an age of a global economy. You live in a nation which consumes vast quantities of fuel, but doesnt have any. You trade with other countries, do business with other countries, buy and sell arms with other countries. You're involved with treaties with other countries, have military bases in other countries, alliances in other countries, economic growth initiatives with other countries....

Have i said enough to make you wish you maybe didnt make that comment?

Ninja-Hippo

Really? Then why aren't we truning more conservative? We both know Bush was hardly a conservative president and we both know Obama is a hardcore liberal. And yet I see us making no progress towards conservarive politics. How is Natonal HealthCare conservarive polictics. And on the foreign issues part... You missed the part where I said said respected. ;) I'm a guy who stands for what's right REGARDLESS of what the world around us thinks.

I liked McCain and deep down he's a good guy but what you said isn't as simple as that. To just say both parties want this and that. This isn't like high school elections where it doesn't really matter it's all the same. There are HUGE differences. There are huge hidden agendas. Like Bush and the North American union they are creating which will lead to a world union. It's much bigger then that so while I like the whole "let's not argue among each other" talk. It's not that simple, never was nor shall it ever be... there's more to politics then just doing what's good for your country sadly. Even with the democrats who themselves are not spotless but I see them as the far lesser of two evils.

battlefront23

You've made something of a mess of my post. You said Europe complained whenever America did something conservative; i pointed out that that isn't true, and that after a decade of liberal politics Europe (in particular the UK) is starting to favour conservatism. Why you thought i was talking about the US, i dont know.

As for your comments on "i dont care what other countries think", you basically completely ignored my point, which i will accept as an admission that you have no response to it.

When you mock the world by acting like we should watch out for you as if your some kind of god or bully and how you could care less about other countries. That in it self proves you know NOTHING about politics. My friend go say that to ANY republican senator even and you'll make their day with laughter.

If this is your idea of what a president should be doing and how a country should operate I thank god knowing you will never become president or this country let alone anything close with that kind of backwards self-righteous, condescending thinking...

By the way, in the interest of humility:

Indiana - Though the Hoosier State has not given its electoral votes to a Democrat since the landslide of 1964, its polls have been surprisingly close for much of the 2008 election season. If it is deemed too close to call when polls close, that will be a good sign for Obama; conversely, if it's called shortly after polls close (as was the case in 2004), that will be good news for McCain. Obama is not likely to win the state, but a close race here would indicate that Obama's machine will likely have been well-oiled elsewhere in the country, as well.

...

North Carolina - Much like Indiana, Obama will probably not win North Carolina (having not voted Democratic since Carter in '76), but its closeness could give hints regarding how other states might go as well.

Bill O' Reily and respectfullness do not go hand in hand. He's a sad, unpatriotic man really who will stop at nothing to get his agenda and unethical views accross. Go on youtube and see clips of his shows the stuff he does.

He couldn't handle an actual debate that he didn't get to shot the mic of the other person when they made sense and were right...

Thats how you lost respect in the first place...

I'm completely aware of that :). Hidden agendas and the like.

I agree with everything you said. I was just talking about the financial crysis. Both parties are responsible. I don't like to see both sides pointing fingers really (even though I do feel that Democrats are the lesser of the two evils).

That's only a hard rule in System Wars, but I thank you for performing your civic duty nonetheless. ;)
