Holy crap, Obama just randomly pulled within 1,000 votes of McCain in Missouri. I don't know where the votes came from, but all of a sudden I'm watching that state again.

thanks. if the ban happens all the marriges are void. a lot of gays will be pissed. i will have to watch ellen tommorow

I don't think ones that were married already are "void" but from here on after etc... They were talking about that on CNN

Laws don't act retroactively. Those that are already married will still be recognized. If It were me, I would've gotten married yesterday, just in case...

Not at all, actually; all the votes are counted in North Carolina (literally - it's at 100% reporting), but for whatever reason the networks are absolutely refusing to call it for Obama.

I cant wait to hear Bill O'Reily and Sean Hannity.

Ah, their tears will be like ambrosia to me!

Too bad for you Bill has always been respectful to Obama.

I honestly think it's because he is afraid of being called a racist (I am neither saying nor implying that he is racist)

You're right actually. I checked the BBC and it says all votes have been counted, but isnt posting it one way or the other, though McCain has more votes (barely). Perhaps the networks are all too busy discussing Obama's victory to finish off the details? :P

McCain has more votes? According to official sources, it's Obama who's marginally in the lead.

Mark my words; he'll be worse than Carter.

If by that you mean he'll do exactly the opposite of what you and your ultra-conservative friends want, that's a very good thing.

Why is everyone so caught up in this election being historic?

If you voted for Obama simply because he was an historic candidate, you may have voted for the wrong reasons.

He doesnt even fall under the traditional american definition of black. He is half white and his dad is from africa. He is not a Descendant of an african brought over here hundreds of years ago.

It's only historic if you consider getting over pathetic hatred of a skin color historic.

HAH! No! In American sociology which I took, it says, even if a person has one black ancestor it makes him a black person. So according to the traditional American definition of black, I am black too because my father's granma is black.

True.. you see I was shocked when I heard that he was only a sentaor for one term and I believe Mccain is more experienced too but Mccain was too much of a joke to win and Palin wasn't a good choice, Biden is.

not that i think voting for skin colour is a good idea, but surely if his dad is kenyan and his mum is american, that makes him more african american than most who claim african ancestory through dead realitves but have never been to africa?
