Wow, so many things wrong with that image...
At least it spurred the creation of Cthulhu art, and with any luck maybe a Zͨͤ̃̓́̀҉͈̩̩A̴̠̩̤͕͑̂̆͟Ḻ̭͕͚̙̓͢Ḡ͍̪̻̞̤̺͈͉̫ͬ̈́̄̈́̍͆ͬ̏͝O͚̗̮̤͉̳͖ͥͧ̑ͭ!̧̫͇̓̃̆̽͑̚ version too.
Anyway, here's the artist trying to explain it: McNaughton
What.
I guess there's nothing particularly offensive about the imagery. Except maybe the pregnant woman. But it's real creepy, speaking as a comparitively right-leaning Christian.
[QUOTE="Desulated"]True story, my dad once said that about my mom. It was so funny I had to laugh, but I felt awful for it.Psh, while you may find it ugly someone else may find it gorgeous
After all, one man's trash is another man's treasure! XD

lol that is just mean.
the people at the top symbolize one nation under God. the painting has two sections the top which is one nation. and the bottom which shows the split of good and evil people in this nation. So i dont understand what the people at the top of the painting symbolize, both on the left and right

While I disagree with the point of the painting (I'm quite liberal) I have to say the thing that bothers me most is the portrayal of Jesus. I mean he's supposed to be the most humble person and he's there wearing a freaking golden robe and standing above mankind rather than alongside them.Ace6301Jesus is often portrayed as a royal figure. Apparently this represents the second coming, so it makes some sense. I think your theory is quite likely. Though I could totally see this emblazoned on a commemorative plate from the Bradford Exchange, maybe with a few more screaming eagles thrown in for good measure.
It would seem the people on the top are those of the past who stand behind the notion of God and the Constitution as we the people of the present have largely shunned such notions. So i dont understand what the people at the top of the painting symbolize, both on the left and right

Why the **** is there a pregnant woman on the "dark" side along with what seems to be a journalist?SgtKevali
It's a pretty good painting. Although it's antagonizing to the left and inspirational to the right. The fact that this sparks either inspiration or disgust in an individual makes this painting a work of art.
Design-wise, Jesus never was Caucasian, so the artist gets a point down for that. There seems to be a mysterious cloud of dust on the ground despite the fact that no one seems to be moving in which to kick up a cloud of dust, so the artist gets a point down for that as well. The little boy pointing at The Constitution is wearing a shirt with two different types of sleeves. One sleeve is tighter to his skin while the other hangs like a robe. I would have let this little flaw slide if the child wasn't right in the middle of the painting where all the focus is, so a half-point is deducted.
7.5/10
Only in OT they make a huge deal out of what I'd use was wallpaper.

That picture is probably a good indicator of what's putting the country in such dire straits nowadays.

On the right side are the sinners, the liberals, the abortionists, and satan.
On the left side are the conservatives, the christians, the soldiers (because God loves war), and the farmers.
The ones on the right are either rejecting Christ or ignoring him, and the ones on the left are praising him. Behind Christ are American heroes, more or less.

so which one is jesus? the octopus dripping blood? It looks more like one nation divided by God.I don't get why it's so horrible. It's supposed to signify all the different kinds of people in the United States coming together under God.

here's what I thought based on what you've said: on the left are those who have been decieved to pray to a doctine based on spilled blood. They have a soldier on their side, and everyone is blind because they never had eyes (they don't have faces). on the right are those who have not been decieved but mutilated themselves due to never finding any meaning. They are also blind, but because they have gouged their eyes out (and refuse to see). Both sides are screwed because america is in flames, and neither side chose to cooperate. The guy in the middle is the guy of judgement showing what has become of them because of the way they manipulated the constitution to be completely about money and greed and lack of meaning. The child is the resultant generation who will mark the constitution in blood. The people in the background are prominent figures of the past who are all a mixture of the left and right who are judging the ones on the bottom right to say "we have sacrificed, and you decide to destroy our achievements by making policies for your own greed because the meaning in your eyes has dissapeared." I don't really think this is a 'biased' pic even though the ones on thebottom leftare being displayed as 'good' because that's no the message I see. The ones on thebottom leftare spared judgement because they were blind from the beginning. They were the ones who were so dumbed down and decieved that they blew the place up.I've seen that picture before and it's obviously biased. I honestly don't get religion's influence on people. To think that religion should still be relevant in the modern world is unfathomable to me. [QUOTE="Snipes_2"]It looks more like one nation divided by God.I don't get why it's so horrible. I think that's what this picture represents. What becomes of a society when no one cares about religion anymore. It's one thing to say the guy in the sky is a silly idea. But why do you think the same lessons and principles come up over and over again through history as a guide to living? Once we say "religion is for the weak and irrelevent to modern times", the next thing people say is "and because of that, I'm going to be a competitive beast. Afterall, if I can do it then I'm supposed to. sharing is obsolete", and then the spiral goes on until everyone's killing each other..Please Log In to post.
