One of my teachers was telling us that Rage Against the Machine is a great band, then from the back of the class you hear someone yell "SCREAMO BANDS LIKE THAT SUCK!" I felt like kicking him in the head for saying one of my favorite bands is part of that terrible genre. :/

Cause some people are just stupid, they dont venture out to take the time to learn more about bands/artist and other music genres.

I started listening to screamo, then moved to other genres. But I do still listen to some screamo stuff. I dont really know any good screamo bands apart from As I lay Dying but they might be metalcore. Not sure.

As I Lay Dying are strictly metalcore. Screamo is a whole different genre (zero metal influences). Listen to AILD then to some screamo band, but focus on the instruments rather than the vocals and you'll notice the difference. The vocals give it away as well, but meh.

I was going to, but I couldn't find a youtube link for Heroin... Never heard of Mohinder though. Mohinder is great. And I forgot to Mention City of Caterpillar, though Darksword already has.

For what? They've done nothing wrong to you; you shouldn't give a damn what they do, and you shouldn't either. Everyone is an individual, and you can't group 'emo and scene kids' into groups, because no one is exactly the same. Yes, I listen to screamo.
I'm a total metalhead and i can't even stand screamo. Lamb of God and Dying Fetus are awesome, but they have something called LYRICS. Screamo is just aggrevating noise and IMO anyone who listens to that must have major issues.
