not all screamo is badbut every genre has its shining star. thursday has been labled screamo and their awesome but they are also post hardcore emo post prog

I find the poll results hard to believe. There are so many death metal fans on this forum. Death metal = screamo. Stop denying it death metal fans!

Song of Zarathustra, an entire Orchid set, Swing Kids, Angelhair, Reversal of Man, Anomie, and The Spirit of Versailles are good examples. I don't really listen to screamo anymore, but even so...YourChaosIsntMe

But the second wave pretty much ruined it... Try bands like Antioch Arrow,Amanda Woodward, Orchid, Saetia or
Ampere.

And my favorite screamo band ever is Circle Takes The Square (this band is phenomal).

Closest thing I come to is some AFI at times. I think most people should know that not every "screaming" vocalist is screamo though. So Les Savy Fav, Animal Collective, etc. don't count.homegirl2180

only stuff like circle takes the square, but they arent actually screamo in my opinion. i like a couple songs from chiodos, the fall of troy etc.hughami
