True story, may or may not be scary, but it really happened.
One night while reading in bed, my cat came into my room and curled up near my head as he usually does. He flicked his tail on the back of my head to get attention (the punk he is) and I got annoyed, eventually pushing him down onto the floor. Although I didn't realize it, a few seconds later he jumped up onto the foot of the bed and curled up to chill out. Minutes went by, and I felt what I thought was his tail touching the back of my head again. It was distinctly different this time though, as it was not so fleeting and had more pressure to it. This happened about five times over the span of 15-30 seconds, after which I got irritated, waved my hand behind my hand to swat him away, and could not feel him. I sat up to turn around to stop him, and as I did so, I glanced forward. Lo and behold there he was, lying at the end of the bed, asleep, seven feet from where my head was. I freaked, jumped out of bed, moving faster than I ever had in my life out of my room and flew outside. It was very, veryearly AM and quite cold out, so I stayed out there for about fifteen minutes. Finally I went back inside and very hesitantly went back to bed, my cat looking at me like I was a moron. I was up until sunrise, and then slowly drifted off. I was almost out when I felt my bed shake. Softly first, then more violently, then softly again. There was no way I was going to get to sleep at this point, so I got up. Later that day I ended up asking my neighbor if they felt a tremor the previous night, to which they said no. I dismissed it as an earthquake and of no relation to what had happened before, but to this day I cannot explain what was messing with my head that night. There were no open windows, no fans, nothing. It felt like someone was softly touching the back of my head. Now I don't believe in ghosts, but that night scared me ****less.
ok the hotel and humans can lick to story creeped me out

ya i know not scary but all i could think of...
A few years ago, a mother and father decided they needed a break, so they wanted to head out for a night on the town. They called their most trusted babysitter. When the babysitter arrived, the two children were already fast asleep in bed. So the babysitter just got to sit around and make sure everything was okay with the children. Later that night, the babysitter got bored and went to watch TV, but she couldn't watch it downstairs because they did not have cable downstairs (the parents didn't want children watching too much garbage). So, she called them and asked them if she could watch cable in the parent's room. Of course, the parents said it was ok, but the babysitter had one final request... she asked if she could cover up the angel statue outside the bedroom window with a blanket or cloth, at the very least close the blinds, because it made her nervous. The phone line was silent for a moment, and the father who was talking to the babysitter at the time said, "Take the children and get out of the house... we will call the police. We do not have an angel statue."
The police found all three of the house occupants dead within three minutes of the call. No angel staue was ever found.
This happened to me about three weeks ago....
One night right after falling asleep i woke up, and i looked at the clock, got up went to the bathroom and went back to bed. When i was about to fall asleep for what ever reason i opened up my eyes, and saw this black silhouette of a man standing in front of my door, i tried to move but couldn't, i even tried to scream, but couldn't. About 30 sec after seeing this blurry image i blacked out. When i woke up i was laying on the couch in my living room (not my bedroom.) it was crazy. I was like how the h*ll did i end up here. I have never sleep walked before, i hope this never happens again.

whenever im at a party, and we decide to tell scary stories to eachother, im gonna use this one! its genious!!
I know the story that you're talking about. It used to be called Ted's Caving Page but I can't find it's actual website anymore. Just google it and it should bring you to an angelfire link. It's way to long to post on a forum. It's more like a short book than a simple forum post.
One time this guy sitting next to me on the bus FARTED! Then I was like EWWW!! Then the guy FARTED AGAIN! :o
There have been times that when I'm in bed almost getting to sleep I feel something touching me. It was like someone was using the side of their hand to touch my face and then it felt like an actual hand was touching me, under the covers and everything. Nothing hurtful, nothing pleasurable, just feeling. It was so weird and it happened for like twenty minutes and I would feel the blankets move up. I honestly don't know how to explain that, it was sort of like someone took interest in me and found my skin amusing. I just sat there in my bed feeling the hand go all around me. It was comforting but I was really scared but nothing like that has happened recently.
When i was 14 years old, i was at home trying to get some sleep, now normally when i try falling asleep i used to have this tendency of making figures with shadows, ( cartoon faces, figures, you name it.... ) as i was carefully watching the wall facing the right side of the bed, i started to notice a face staring at me, normally when i imagine such things my mind can easly erase them, but for some reason, as i starred heavly towards the face, my mind could not make out another figure, the same face kept starring at me, i finally zoomed in to take a closer look, the face of a young girl zoomed in as well, i then covered my face with no hesitation, i stayed covered for 5 min or so, i then took off the cover and a nothing was there.
"The legend of it here in Jackson, Michigan goes like this: A long time ago there was a little girl named Mary. She must have gotten in an accident because she went into a coma. At this time doctors didn't know what a coma was, so they thought she was dead. They buried her alive! Every night Mary's mother thought that she heard a scream coming from Mary's grave, but no one believed her.
Finally one day Mary's mother convinced them to dig up her grave. When they did, they found scratches on the top of the coffin and Mary's fingernails were all bloody. There are many different things that I have heard that will happen when you say "Bloody Mary" in the mirror. The most popular one here is that you will see Mary in the mirror walking down a case of stairs. She may be holding a knife. If she is, you must turn on the lights or she'll kill you. Also she could be holding a rose or teddy bear, and then she won't kill you.
Mary's "so called" grave is also here in Jackson. I have been to it. It's out in the woods and you have to walk through a lot of trails to get there. When you finally do, you have to walk up a big hill and there is a big tombstone on top that just says Mary. There are also other tombstones, too. Mary's grave was removed recently because the coffins were beginning to stick out of the ground."

"This is a very true story about B-Mary (do not say her name) that happened to me. One night when my parents were away, my older brother dared me to do the B-Mary ritual and summon her spirit. I didn't believe that it was true so I did it, thinking it would be a good laugh afterwards. I went into the bathroom, turned off all the lights, turned around seven times while saying B-Mary on each turn. I then stopped turning and faced the mirror. I waited in silence for something to happen.
I was about to leave when I heard a woman singing. I turned slowly back to the mirror and I saw her. She had long, dark brown hair that was soaked in blood. Her neck looked like someone had just slit her throat. I screamed. When my brother started banging on the door and turning the lock, she became angry. She was smiling but then she frowned and reached out through the mirror with one bloody arm and slapped/scratched me on the right side of my face. I felt her nails strike so hard that I was knocked to the floor. My head slammed against the side of the bathtub and I was knocked unconscious.
When I woke, I was in the hospital with bandages across the right side of my face. My brother was whispering apologies to me that I could barely understand. My parents were also there. As soon as I opened my eyes they rushed to my side. I discovered that my brother had told them that one of my many cats had scratched me and I had fallen. (I've been scratched by my cats before.) They believed us."
jaja well... if you must ask. what you almost desire is evil except the fact that it is not human. what people believe these days in fear of what humans fear is not in frailty the true existence of fear.what you believe is a true illusion. ask me more i have allot to telldarkside8898
Are you 14 years old?
A few years back, i was at a camp called Geneva Park, where you can rent a cottage for any number of weeks and just chill for a while. In the bedrooms of these cottages, there are 2 beds to a room... in my room, there was one bed that was sheeted, had pillows on it, etc. (my bed) and the other bed didnt have anything on it. One night, i fell asleep very quickly (I was tired) and that morning, I had woke up in the other bed. this may not seem strange, but the weird thing is, all the bedding was taken off my bed, and was in the bed I had woken up in.
I dismissed this incident as a one time thing, and forgot about it.
The next year I came up again. On the first night of the second week, I had falled asleep really fast again. In the middle of the night, I woke up to the sound of waves, and seagulls, which didnt surprise me because my cottage had a dock right behind it... you can always hear seagulls, and I just assumed the tide was strong, and went back to sleep without even opening my eyes.
When I woke up in the morning, i opened my eyes, to see the sky. I sat up to find that I was sleeping on nthe dock at the beach, with my bed sheet under me, and my blanket on me, with my pillow. A little girl was staring at my from the beach like I was crazy... I thought I was too. It hasnt happened since, but it scared the crap out of me, and I've never been able to fall asleep quickly at Geneva Park again.
There are two girls and one is spending the night at the other's house for one full weekend. One is totally fearless and the other frightens when you tap her on the shoulder - lets call them Marie and Sandra (Sandra is the fearless one and Marie is the wimp).
They sleepover at Sandra's house. Sandra has a million horror movies but because Marie is scared of seeing gore they decide to tell each other ghost stories. Sandra is the expert on any type of frightening story and she really wants to scare Marie. She tells her stories of babysitters hacked to death, children eaten alive and all sorts of terrible happenings.
By now they have consumed a lot of water and popcorn so after her last story Sandra excuses herself to the bathroom. Minutes passed and all Marie could think of were the stories she had just heard. When Marie heard no running water she began to worry.
Logically thinking that Sandra was playing an elaborate joke, Marie waited again. Sandras phone rang and Marie jumped. The phone rang again and again so she assmumed that Sandra was unable to answer it so Marie picked it up. "Hello?" she said nervously. All she heard was breathing at the other end then a click.
Marie began to panic. She climbed into Sandras bed and put the covers over her head. When she finally heard the scuffling of feet she assumed they were Sandra's but the shuffling passed by the door and did not pause. Marie was too frightened to call out Sandras name so she waited. Eventually she heard the feet again but they seemed very far away. Then a scream let out across the house.
Marie was very shaken now. She wasn't sure if it was Sandra messing with her head or if someone was really going through the house. Marie finally mustered up the courage and began to wander around the vast house. All the lights were out except for the glowing of Sandras room light and the light of the moon outside.
Marie began to inch down the hallway praying that this was some giant hoax. Finally she turned a corner and saw Sandra sitting at the end of the hall. Her pajamas were red and she seemed to be leaning against the wall. Marie sighed. The fear was gone. She knew it was just Sandra messing with her head.
She flicked on the nearest light switch and to her horror Sandra was kneeling against the wall but she was covered in blood, her eyes were gouged out, and her stomach was ripped open. Marie let out a terrified scream as she read the words painted in Sandras own blood over her mutilated corpse. "She became her own Urban Legend".

Not a particularly pleasant place, with swearing and slight goryness, but it's got a load of Creepypasta.
Here's a good one...
It's a dark night in September, and a guy was babysitting three kids in a huge house with all kinds of glass materials... Such as windows. The owners of the house are gone, and this guy is babysitting for the night.
The three kids were all playing upstairs, and the guy was supervising the three kids, when he heard a sound coming from the bottom floor.
The guy runs downstairs, and the house is almost pitch black. He hears the sound again. He walks over to a window and looks through it. He can almost make out a stone statue through the darkness. When he turns around, he hears the sound again. But the statue is not there when the babysitter turns back around and looks through the window.
He runs back upstairs to check on the kids, and they are fine. But now he hears a louder noise coming from downstaris. He runs back to the window, and this time, sees a guy through the window, waving his hand very slowly, and smiling with wide open eyes. The babysitter screams, then paces away from the window, and the man through the window seems to be following him from outside.
The babysitter runs upstairs, to see that the three kids are missing. He runs downstairs to the phone, but before he takes it, sees the two kids lifeless in front of the window. The two kids were dead, but their bodies were inside. One kid was missing. The babysitter screams, and the man behind the window screams with him, waving his hand.
The babysitter shiversas he dials 911 on the phone. He runs upstairs with the phone, and sees the last kid missing. all of the windows are closed. He looks through a different window from upstairs and can't see statues anymore. He cannot tell where the man is.
The police come to the house 5 minutes after the babysitter called. The babysitter is nowhere to be found, the police look all through the house and only find two dead children, along with many statues INSIDE the house. The babysitter is gone. The third child is found alive in a closet, very afraid and shivering. The police ask him what happened. The child points to a glass object and says "I was peeking through the closet, and the babysitter was screaming and waving at himself through that mirror..."
Aw man, I love threads like these. I'm kind of an creepypasta-addict. I've read every story in this thread, nice job guys. Time for me to share some favorite stories. I think this one was written by a very very insane boy a long time ago.

The images we see in the mirror are the pure incarnates of evil. They are only allowed to exist in the area reflected in the glass. To them, life is like a neverending hell, rotting away in the same room day after day. The only refuse from this purgatory is death, and the only way for them to die, sad to say, is if YOU die.
Fortunately, they are bound by a code. You are their master, and they must mirror your every movement and expression. To do otherwise would break an unbreakable law, unravelling the space-time continuum. However, there is a loophole, and it can only be triggered by you, the master. To force them into error is to free them from their contract; after you let them out of your view, you're on your own. Know this: when you watch them, they're watching you back. They're watching. And they're thinking.
~
A note to the daring:
The next time you're alone in your room, turn down the lights. Think of something on your body that varies in length, such as hair. It must be clearly viewable from your perspective. Grab a ruler and, looking in the mirror, quickly grab a hair at random; you must confuse it. Hold it in position as best you can and note the length. Look down. Yours will be different.
Don't look back up.
Don't turn your back to that mirror ever again.
~
The next time you wake up groggy and tired, don't move. Take a glance at your mirror; if you're lucky, you might catch a smile.
