I don't know why, but that just doesn't bother me at all. They did that with a couple of my blogs, then some other people went in and thumbed up...then it did not happen on any new ones. I guess the only way I would care is if it starting hiding the comments b/c of too many thumbs down...but even then, 'meh'

I agree...there is not much anyone can do on here to get to me...I can just ignore most bothersome/irksome behaviors

I could ask the same question for people who put up every single bit of information about themselves online (be it this site or facebook). Does it make THEM feel important? I like my privacy- I don't do it to feel special or something, I just don't want people hounding over my past posts.
More importantly, I only come to this site to discuss things on the forums, I don't see why I would need a public profile.

But they don't actually get attention since it's anonymous. They get a sense of accomplishment though...hell, this thread will fuel their efforts (they see they are actually getting a rise out of people...and not the good kind)
