Private profiles....I ask you....why??

A week or so after I figured it out, I found out he got banned.

You just search their username in the field where you search for users.

When they get listed, there are two options: PM that person and track them.

Every time I set it to public, someone starts tracking me. If I'm ever found I'm done for.

I would set my profile to private if I was a female user. Personally, I wouldn't even tell anyone that I was a girl in the first place on this site, or at least not publicly in the forums. Never had the profile set on private until certain individuals with nothing better to do thumbed down all the comments.LJS9502_basic

This and stalkers is why mine is private.

LJ, do you mean Profile or blog?

I can still view your Profile...if you want your Profile private, then you have to set it and not return to that settings screen, or it will revert to "anyone".

It glitches and resets if you go back into the settings.:)

There's no such thing as actual stalking on gamespot, the few occassions one could actually with some legal credibility describe as stalking are cases far and wide apart in occurance. You're not getting stalked, I'm not getting stalked, LJS isn't getting stalked. Stalker =/= Some bored dweeb browsing your posting history every now and then, ok.

If you feel that you're in some way ,,above'' the publiccritique of your peers; that's definitely a dire feeling of self-importance right there. If your blog is ****, or you're just a **** poster in general,it deserves to be thumbed down.

I never said stalking couldn't happen. I know it's in the news, neat of you to point that out though. Dude, you're not getting stalked. Some guy trolling your ass every now and then does not equate to stalking let alone obsessing. It could be boiled down to a deviant past time.

Regarding the 3rd, doesn't change the point in any way. Same stuff applies; someone found it worthy to be thumbed down, they're as far as the thumbing up and down system goes, entitled to give a simple critique.
