You argue that rap is "where it at now," but you can't even make a list of good rappers to support your argument.
And this is a bad thing. Why is someone made by a vocoder making money, when bands and even other rappers with real talent arent'? I blame parents for not teaching their kids good music, but they also shouldn't force their music on them.

Well judging from your name "RushMetallica" you have bad taste in music anyway. It's all about club music and slow jams man.
Yup. "Slow jams" and "club music". That's what I like to listen to when I'm going to sleep. Tru dat yo. G.

Lil wayne is over hyped and he is terrible, Kanye West is a whiny punk, Young Jeezy is average at best, Ludacris hasn't had a good song since blueberry yum yum, T.I... Seriously? T.I.? And T-Pain is just another rapper in a world of rappers who are here and then vanish into the night with there handfull of "hits".
Rap as it is today is probably the worst thing that could have happened to music. It's trashy and disrespectful and I can't believe people fall into this garbage.

Bleh, what happened to the good ol' days of Thriller music videos?

Well that's your opinion. And in my opinion, talking about how much money they have, how great they are, sex, and having catchy little bass beats shouldn't be what mainstream is listening to. Some rock and metal has this, but it shouldn't be in mainstream either. This is only my opinion though.
You argue that rap is "where it at now," but you can't even make a list of good rappers to support your argument.

I completely agree.
Nas, Tupac, Big,Rakim, Jay-z, Common, Mos Def, Lupe(not a big fan), Kanye isnt to bad, Ludacris isn't to bad, Busta Rhymes, some true poets right there.

What's wrong with Rush?:|
Exactly what I was thinking. Neil Peart is a genius.
Genius =/= Good music.Exactly what I was thinking. Neil Peart is a genius.
RushMetallica
Einstein was a genius, but there's no way in hell I'm going to listen to Einstein music.

A genius isn't just someone who can solve difficult math problems or invent formulas.
This album is greater than the collective works of all the rappers you listed.
JackMcSexbeard
Suuuuuuuuure it is
That's completely irrelevant.A genius isn't just someone who can solve difficult math problems or invent formulas.
harashawn
You don't have to be a genius to create good music. Calling Neil Peart a genius is like calling Neil Peart a Canadian. Maybe so, but that means nothing musically.

Do you even know who Neil Peart is? If you did you would agree that he is, in fact, a musical genius/god. The things he can do on a drumset will knock your socks off... and then light your socks on fire. Also rap sucks. It's all the same 4 measures repeated over and over for 3 minutes.

I meant musical genius. I find his lyrics inspiring, and his tribute solo to Buddy rich is incredible.

Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Young Jeezy, Ludacris, T.I. and T-Pain rule the music world now. No one wants that silly screamo and growling. Classic Rock will always live on but rap is the future of musicxboxplayer1990
Please no....you don't know good hip hop, and HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHA @ Lil Wayne being a good if you could call him an "artist". Good hip hop is old hip hop...there is no music that it is "where it's at"...most are comming out with worse and worse music.

Your so called "good hip hop" is overrated boringness. What makes it good? Lyrics? Lyrics are THE most overrated thing ever. Who says most people wanna listen to someone elses life story? Most people want lyrics about beer, drugs, and sex. Something most people can relate to. Not a boring beat with someone saying they grew up tough.

No offense, but you are a fine example to what I believe is wrong with music listeners today. I pity you.
