You argue that rap is "where it at now," but you can't even make a list of good rappers to support your argument.

And this is a bad thing. Why is someone made by a vocoder making money, when bands and even other rappers with real talent arent'? I blame parents for not teaching their kids good music, but they also shouldn't force their music on them.

Well judging from your name "RushMetallica" you have bad taste in music anyway. It's all about club music and slow jams man.

Lil wayne is over hyped and he is terrible, Kanye West is a whiny punk, Young Jeezy is average at best, Ludacris hasn't had a good song since blueberry yum yum, T.I... Seriously? T.I.? And T-Pain is just another rapper in a world of rappers who are here and then vanish into the night with there handfull of "hits".

Rap as it is today is probably the worst thing that could have happened to music. It's trashy and disrespectful and I can't believe people fall into this garbage.

Well that's your opinion. And in my opinion, talking about how much money they have, how great they are, sex, and having catchy little bass beats shouldn't be what mainstream is listening to. Some rock and metal has this, but it shouldn't be in mainstream either. This is only my opinion though.

That's completely irrelevant.

You don't have to be a genius to create good music. Calling Neil Peart a genius is like calling Neil Peart a Canadian. Maybe so, but that means nothing musically.

Do you even know who Neil Peart is? If you did you would agree that he is, in fact, a musical genius/god. The things he can do on a drumset will knock your socks off... and then light your socks on fire.

Also rap sucks. It's all the same 4 measures repeated over and over for 3 minutes.

Your so called "good hip hop" is overrated boringness. What makes it good? Lyrics? Lyrics are THE most overrated thing ever. Who says most people wanna listen to someone elses life story? Most people want lyrics about beer, drugs, and sex. Something most people can relate to. Not a boring beat with someone saying they grew up tough.

I stopped reading at Lil' Wayne. Listen guys, rap is all about lyrics. Rap is musical poetry. Then why on god's green (blue?) earth are you guys people buying Lil Wayne's Album when you cant even understand wtf he is saying!? This is why rap is quickly degenerating into pure, unadulterated crap. And then we got Kanye West who's rhymes sound like they were made by someone with an IQ of 10. Seriously, some of Kanye's lines are the most disturbingly idiotic in the entire business. Sometimes I listen to Kanye and then think to myself "If people honestly buy this crap, then the only reason Vanilla Ice didnt make it was because he was white."
