Manufacturing is only 15% of the economy right now, last I checked. So moving further away from that would seem like the right path to take - trying to bring those jobs back to the US is frankly a lost cause. Even more so in the future when automation takes off.

Then you revised it to say there were white people at the protests, but there were no white people at the riots because they would've gotten "annihilated." Then you revised it to say there were white people at the riots, but they were safe because their heads were covered? How about that black man that got shot in the back for slowly running away (the cop could have attempted to chase after him, or even use his Taser) but no, he just shot him in the back 5 times and killed him. This was not the first time in the last year that I heard of a black man being killed for something minor.

I would be fearing for my life if I lived in Baltimore, I would suggest everyone to stay in-doors (but you're probably still not safe inside your own home it would seem). Anyone making excuses for these rioters should be ashame of themselves. These animals went after the poor. Did anyone even see photos of the victims from the riots? They were sad, looking like they're about to cry.

Sad thing, the rioters comprised a very small portion of the protesters. There were people there that were exercising their constitutional rights to protest what they perceived as an injustice. Unfortunately, there always exists a small portion of people that will simply take advantage of a situation to cause mayhem. Those rioters were not out there to protest any injustice. They took away from the vast majority of people that were making a voice for change. It's pretty obvious just watching the Baltimore community that most of those people were disgusted at the rioters as well.

Baltimore Mayor allowed the rioters to freely do whatever they want, then she apologize for calling them thugs. She needs to be impeach for not letting the cops do their jobs

I'd just like to point out that our minimum wage is hardly humane either. In many parts of the country it's impossible or very difficult for people to work a standard forty hour workweek and support themselves. I think that if you work eight hours a day, forty hours a week, even on minimum wage, you should be able to live without the constant fear of being evicted or going hungry for a while. Not everyone can afford college and we need people to work at lower wage jobs, because despite their shitty pay, they are important.

Since the agricultural revolution, humans have always been pretty rotten. Once cities and governments popped up is when hierarchies really took hold on the species. Since then, it's just been a shit sandwich. And we actually live in one of the more peaceful eras of human history right now, believe it or not. And that alone is sad considering how shitty the world still is in many places. We still have several centuries if not millennia to go before the whole world is truly civilized, if it's even possible for the whole species to be civilized.

Ours is hardly humane? Are you joking? We pay upwards of 20x more than what people make in some of these slave nations.

I get it, our wage isn't good enough, but please don't try and kid me. There are places in the world that have it MUCH MUCH worse. And the point is: We can't compete with them.

I read that too. The report is allegedly from another prisoner who was on the other side of a metal partition from Freddie Gray. So unless that other prisoner's name happens to be Matt Murdock, I doubt he could know what was happening out of his field of vision.
