I'll take altern rock over rap anyday. Not that I hate rap I just don't prefer it. My favorite radio station was an altern rock station until someone decided the demographics pointed to rap being more popular so they "fused" altern rock and and rap together on one station. They play one rap then a rock, rap, rock, rap, rock, commercial, rap, rock, all day long! I no longer listen to this station because they let me down.
I personaly prefer rock to rap because it is what I grew up with. Now rock has had some seriously rough times with the really bad bands popping up on a regular basis. But you still get the ocassional gem such as Avenged Seven Fold or Breaking Benjamine that show real lyrical and musical value.
I've got an idea lets lock all rap vs rock topics past, present, and future in the pits of hell and let deamons post in them. leegar88
There's no need for comments like that. It's obvious you know what the content of these threads will be like from the title alone. You can simply chose not to click on threads like these. If you wish to add meaningful discussion, you are more than welcome to post, but if this is your attitude towards threads like these, I'll advise you to avoid them in the future, as you know they will not stop.

Lucas just put it in a nutshell. And he's right. That being said I like both...not just one. And bands that merge them are even better...aka Linkin Park.Â
