That is an excellent question. For one, I'm a strong believer that 90% or so of your bizarre feelings during puberty will go away once it ends. That being said, it's not always the case, nor am I saying transexualism is a hormone imbalance or anything. Just that I like to keep possibilities in mind, especially for something as irreversible as sexual reassignment surgery.

I guess what my personal response is to the question is... medical care and consent for a child is the responsibility of the legal guardian, so it's up to them to approve or decline the childs request to have a sex change.

These surgeries are getting to the point where they can be hard to notice. Say one these people try to get in a relationship without telling the partner of the change, I would think it would be pretty damaging, psychologically, to the partner when he/she finds out.UssjTrunks

So this is wrong on the grounds that some who get the surgery may have a problem with honesty in a relationship? That's absurd and again irrelevant to this whole conversation. I believe relationships should be all about honesty, so there's my answer right there.
