Should Bill Maher be fired

Bill Maher called Pope Benedict XVI a "nazi" and "a leader of a pedophile cult". Now there is an effort to boycott HBO until he is fired. What do you think. Well If Don Imus was fired for his comments about the Rutgers basketball team and Dog the Bounty Hunter's show was cancelled because he used the N word, Maher should definitely be fired because what he said was much worse than what the others said.

1. We don't live in a theocracy. People who aren't religious have no obligation to consider a religious figure "sacred" in any way.
2. He has the first amendment right to say it, but regardless, if his employer doesn't like it, they'll do something.

In my opinion, Catholics are one of the last groups in America where its okay to be prejudice against.

The anti-catholic sentiment in this country is scary sometimes. I'm a Catholic and the amount of crap i get from both "Christians" and Atheists is just horrifying.

Wow Maher is a comedian? He certainly isn't a funny one....I've found that the least talented comedians are the first ones to resort to inflammatory comments for publicity. As far as his show as concerned I wouldn't watch it even if I was paid simply because he bores the hell out of me.

If you want political satire watch The Colbert Report or the Daily Show.
