the thread start is obviously made up and is just an excuse to make holocaust jokes, Im surprised to mods havnt locked the threads.
If its so easy to degrade a particular group you could make up a thread about any race, if you replace 'jews' with any other ethnic group then you can insult anyone with anyting apparently.
So at basketball camp today, while we were shooting freethrows, 3 African American kids around ages 13-14 came up to me and asked me what race I am. I told them imhalf japanese half german which I really am I pretty much ignored them the whole day, but now im sad lol. The thing is, I really don't know how to react in a situation like this. If they were just some random people, I'd kick their asses. But in todays society, I'm pretty sure if I did something to them they'd probably say it's because their jewish and i'd get kicked out of camp or worse. A friend from my school got kicked out for apparently screwing around with a Jewish kid. I don't know what to do. *this thread is in no way intended to offend anyone. I have a jewish friend myself. I just need some advice and I'm telling the situation as it was.. So for some reason... they started saying "wow your a nazi **** you!" then they started going on and on about how my ancestors enslaved theirs and then they said i was related to hilter.. then one of them asks me "do you even know what slavery was?" "yeah over six million of were slaves because of you". ...like wtfThen later on during 5 on 5 games they say things like "im guarding the nazi!".
I guess it never occured to them that many Jews share german heritage as well? sSubZerOo
from an ethnic standpoint, "German" Jews are not German. culturally yes, one could argue, but not from an ethnic standpoint.
and yes, Im quite aware, that intermarriage rates in the early 20th C were higher in Germany than in other places, but it was still a minority, Jews generally did not interrmarry with non Jews throughout history, and thus were basically almost the same people they were 2000 years ago.
now , Jews do look different , but thats just as much the enviroment as anything.

then I suppose it would be acceptable for someone to go to times square and hold massive signs with racist slogans about ethnic/religious minorities?then I suppose it would be acceptable for someone to go to times square and hold massive signs with racist slogans about ethnic/religious minorities?Darkman2007
Yes, it would be acceptable, in fact.
You see, we have an amendment to the United States Constitution which guarantees the right of free expression, assembly, and religion. In fact, it is the 1st amendment.
Hate speech is protected by the 1st amendment as is any other political speech. Unlike in Europe, hate speech is perfectly legal in the United States.

I know about that amendment, though I wasn't quite sure if it applied to hate speech. so if hate speech is allowed and accpetable, why is it not shown openly in the news? Oh, right, and EVERYTHING ON TV IS REGULATED.[QUOTE="Darkman2007"] then I suppose it would be acceptable for someone to go to times square and hold massive signs with racist slogans about ethnic/religious minorities?dkrustyklown

Uh, disregarding the subject at matter. If hate speech developed into a call for action against a group of people (inciting aviolent approach for example, without the action of violence occuring at that moment) THEN it would be considered illegal, amiright? Or will it still be defined as 'hate speech' and thus, ignored?
I just wanted to ask about the 1st amendment in the US and how far it is tolerated, nothing on the subject however.
Why would 3 random kids walk up to you and ask you about your race? Also how do you know they are Jewish, and is your second part of your post really needed, they are 13-14 years old kids, their race has nothing to do with it.

If it were to go as far as being consitered a threat against a person (threatening someone = illegal) or if it fell under conspiracy to commit a crime.[QUOTE="nikola96"][QUOTE="Overlord93"]I would spout as many Holocaust jokes as possible.Darkman2007
I would like to post so many of these but I will get moderated :(
and bring yourself down to their level? the only people you would be offending are Holocaust victims.No... not the only people.
Whatever the intentions of the TC, this thread has turned into an excuse to make extremely offensive jokes. Those that did so are going to be dealt with. That isn't acceptable in jest or any other form here.
