Perhaps because Comedy Central is in the business of making money? They can choose to protect their image in whatever way they see fit. And if Parker and Stone have a problem with that, then they can end their relationship with Comedy Central and start distributing their little cartoons themselves.

Except Comedy Central did air it, so obviously they don't agree with that argument. :P
So are you saying that Comedy Central was FORCED to censor the episode?
Is that what you're trying to suggest?
Because either Comedy Central was FORCED to censor the episode, or they censored it of their own free will and for whatever reasons they thought were best.
Again, I just see a lot of people talking about "free speech rights" without having any idea of what that means. If Comedy Central was forced to censor the episode, then I could potentially see a problem (potentially, because I don't watch South Park). However, if it was Comedy Central who made the decision to censor the episode, then what does "free speech" have to do with anything? Parker and Stone can say what they want, but that doesn't mean Comedy Central has to show it on their network.
What are you talking about?
It was suggested that there was no reason for Comedy Central to air the episodes with Muhammad in them, and therefore that they should not have done so, because they were offensive to Muslims. That is what I was replying to.
