Do you always have to find a way to somehow justify the craziness of the Republican party?

Yeah it is. I'm still debating myself what is the most appropriate one.

I think crying it is. Whoever thought of this... Can not have been taught higher order thinking skills and wants to bring the rest down to his level... Which is really sad =/

So basically they're not going to teach deductive reasoning because it will challenge creationism?

Him and others here are apologists of the GOP to a hilarious degree. The irony is that if they were legit hardcore Republicans, they would be incredibly upset over what their party has become.

It is not like they have people qualified to teach higher order thinking skills in Texas anyway.

"Critical thinking" is just a fancy word that means "breaking down conventional wisdom."

In other words "don't think what most people would normally think, be critical of it" when the correct answer %99 of the time is common sense.

Libs want to break down common sense in children and replace that with thoughts that go against their own self-interest, to replace rational self-interest with what's best for the government rather than what's best for individuals.

They want a nation of mindf*cked individuals who don't vote for their own self-interest.

They don't want people to vote for war when the country is attacked.

They want people to vote themselves higher taxes against their own interests.

They want to push abnormal lifestyles as "healthy."

Why do they do this.

This goes back to Lenin and his "dictatorship of the proletariat."

Meaning they want degenerate unproductive failures to have power over normal, productive, hard working people. They want dysfunctional people to take resource priority over people who work hard and live healthy.

And they're winning because unproductive people and losers have TIME to go to rallies, they have TIME to protest.

Normal people have jobs and responsibilities, they can't just take 2 months off and go to %99er rallies and sleep in the park.

This creates the perception that liberalism is so popular, "look everybody supports this."

No actually, most people don't, but they're at their JOB.

And that's why degenerates have so much power in govt and you get socialists like Obama. Obama supporters get welfare checks, they have all the time in the world to show up for a protest.

There's a reason why "higher order thinking skills" was put in quotes, which has flown over the heads of the leftists in here. This is code language used for leftist indoctrination. Conservatives want more control over the content of their children's education being placed back in their hands. Leftists, of course, want the opposite - they want to transfer more and more authority to the state, In other words, conservatives want more decentralization of education, which if course is an essential component of breaking the ongoing degradation of public education we're seeing as a consequence of leftist policies.

::Sigh:: The dumbing down of America. It's bad over here in Los Angeles, too. Los Angeles Unified School District recently lowered their standards for passing a class. In 2011, LAUSD only had a 62% graduation rate.

That is a 2% rise from the 1980s.

F*ck, I knew it was high, but INCREASING?
