Spare me the lecture, go read my posts again dude. I already stated that even though I'm an atheist, I don't /wouldn't get offended if someone says Merry Christmas to me.
Personally I make sure I don't say Merry Christmas to people who I know for sure are not Christians, not because I'm afraid to offend them but because I'm a sensitive, and thoughtful guy.
I think this is where a lot of people get lost with arguments. They tend to ignore what is actually said and instead replace it with their own variation.
Im not a believer in any deities, in fact im very anti-religion as a whole. BUT, i dont mind Christmas as a holiday or hearing it. What i do take issue with is our tax dollars going toward it and how its become a 2 month long event of fake capitalism under the guise of religion. Which btw... is one of the reasons someone as a Christian should be boycotting Christmas and not embracing it.... along with it not even being a Christian holiday.
I will say Happy Holidays simply because i have no idea what religion the other person is and how they may or may not react or feel about it. People want to talk about growing up and acting like an adult and being able to take these things... yah sure. But the other side of that coin is reaching the point where you understand these things and youre not looking to be an asshole for no real good reason.
