So you're basically trying to prove that the incident was a 4 on a scale, and that we are wrong to say that it was a 6 on a scale. I mean, come on dude. People in that crowd are either enraged at muslims, intolerant or ignorant.

bloodling

They're not "Intolerant or Ignorant", they're enraged that a Mosque is being built so close to where some Muslim "Extremists" killed thousands of family members and friends.

Their reasons are clearly not well thought. I stand by what I said.

In your opinion they are not. The highest Muslim concentration isn't even around that area, it's 30 or more minutes away.

Being the latter does not excuse anyone from being the former... (I am sure someone would call me ignorant if I paid any attention to what kinds of buildings exist around the site of MLK's assassination.)

[QUOTE="Snipes_2"] He Yelled ""Y'all **** don't know my opinion about ****"....Okay? He's walking in front of a crowd of protesters...What makes him think they're yelling AT HIM?

Snipes_2

The fact that they, um, are?

They yell, facing directly at him,"no mosque here", then some guy yells "run away, coward"... I suppose by that they just mean a metaphorical coward, and certainly not the person they were all looking at while chanting moments before?

No, they actually aren't looking at him when they "Chant". You watched the video right? The black guy is talking to the person who later walks up to him and confronts him. The man who confronts the black guy is actually a construction worker.

I'm 12 seconds into the video and I watched as every person adjacent to the black man look at him while shouting "No Mosque here!" He then talks to the old guy in the sweater (I think that's a sweater) while also addressing the crowd because the people he walked past where shouting their chant at him. The dude in the construction hat (probably the one who shouted "run away coward") then confronts the black man and everyone chants "No Mosque here!" while looking at the black guy. At this point a tall gentlemen who is a part of the rally gets the construction hat man to back off. Besides the guy who confronts the black man came from the complete opposite direction that the black man was looking at. The black man was looking at the lower left part of the screen while the man in the hard hat came from the left side but from the upper part.

Its an unruly mob what do you expect? Mob mentality tends to take over in these kinds of situations. There is a reason why police had the two seperated. Had someone walked over to the other side of the protest a similar situation would have gone down.

Ultimas_Blade

You cannot use distraction in this situation to take the light off of that hate-filled crowd that has been drummed up by it's leaders. Those on the left do notact in such a hysterical fashion on a near daily basis.

Joke post? Seriously, you have to be joking...

I have no idea, which is exactly my point. No one should care. If you want to celebrate the lives of those who died, by all means do so. Worshiping the ground they walked on (or died on) is too much.

Yes, I did watch the video. Observe:

Notice how all of the protesters are looking in a single direction (A). Notice further that the most passionate guy (B) is even gesturing in that direction.

Now the camera turns in direction A, and what is located over there?

Oh look, it's the black guy (C)! And he's in the direct line of sight in direction A from the first frame! Meaning that the people are looking right at him while they chant!

You know all those people in the front and crowding around him have cameras and stuff right? You also know he's in the front of the crowd too, so looking at him is unavoidable. If you look later on, you'll see the man who confronted him, it was a construction worker, and around 1:25 you can see a few horrible bigots standing up for the Black guy.

First of all it's not a mosque but I've explained this over and over...

It doesn't matter. It's a cultural center. The dead won't come back to life. The dead won't be disrespected. Get over it.

OK let me show you the pictures again, since you seem not to want to look at them. :P

Everyone around person B is looking in direction A while chanting.

In direction A, black guy C is found.

Therefore, the people around person B who are chanting in direction A are looking directly at black guy C while they chant.

Therefore, the people are looking directly at the black guy while they chant.

That would be a relevant thing to point out if I were saying that the people surrounding him were the ones chanting, except I'm not, given that I clearly denoted the people around person B as the ones chanting. Read my post again, maybe?

Everyone is "Chanting", it's a protest. How does one determine what people are "Chanting" at? If the people around the black guy have cameras, and they aren't "Chanting"....how do we know everyone else is "Chanting" at the black guy?

3. Do you deny that the black guy C is located across from them in direction A?

That...sounds kind of ignorant to me. It's not the same people that killed their loved ones, they just happen to be a part of the extremely large group those people belonged to.

OK, cool, so you deny nothing, case closed then.

I deny that the crowd was chanting at him...You keep ignoring the fact that it was ONE person yelling at the black guy, the black guy responded to the ONE Guy yelling at him. Later in the video Protesters DEFEND the black Guy.

Like I said, everyone is chanting...It's a Protest. Uh...Yeah, They are looking at him..Probably because he's arguing with the Construction worker? The black guy is in the middle of a group of people with Cameras, probably news reporters. IF you notice when the video begins, the black guy is walking to the right and a someone yells "Walk away coward", which illicits a response from the black guy. A few literally seconds later the guy who yelled it comes walking up to the black guy.

No, I gave you three clear things that you could deny in order to make your case; you denied none of them; hence, case closed, and I will not be responding further on this matter.

He asked which of those 3 things do you deny. You didn't seem to deny any of those. As such he's done here. You seem like you're just looking for something to argue even though there really isn't anything here you could argue effectively. Unless you were there of course and saw first hand that it was in fact only one person and not the whole crowd since the video makes it sure seem like it was more than one person.

Uh...If you watched the video it shows the construction worker following him....Those three things don't disprove or prove anything. Why should I bother "Denying" them?

Ridiculous Snipes_2 :|The article points out the insidiousness of all of this Anti-muslim fervor. You have not read the article if you really believe that. And don't go quoting partial phrases, if you are going to quote block quote to provide more context to the discussion.

What the hell has become of our nation? This "Mosque" conflict has truly brought out the worst in us. I can honestly no longer say whole heartedly that America is the place to be.

You would get modded for giving a list of names of people who said what they said when you were asked for a list? I think I missed that part of the TOU but alright...

Excuses. If you are going to say people are America bashing and call people hypocrits, why not name the posters and remove any doubt of your claims? You say you feel bad for those intolerant anti-muslim people who assumed a non-muslim was a muslim and then screamed disrespectful things at him? :| That's incredible.

And if you talking about GabuEx I sure he's fairminded enough to ask why you would say that.

The fact he asked you for it after your baseless claim kind of blows the sole intent part away...
