Would you bother to not look for opportunities to use emoticons and actually bother to understand what im saying and the conversation im having with other people. You're coming off as very cocky, and you dont seem to even get it.

I really don't care what you think of me. The fact is we are not involved in this period. Why should we get involved when Hamas is the aggressor to start with? What don't you get?

Considering you held him up as an expert I have the right to question his credentials. Isn't that how the law works? I take it you have no answer to that. So..why should I believe he is credible? Because he quoted a UN individual that gave no cause for the starvation? Basically it's all smoke and mirrors. Nowhere did his statement reach a conclusion as to why nor provide evidence as to the cause. Case dismissed...lack of factual evidence.LJS9502_basic
He is a person who has worked in the MIddle East and has an ongoing mission there through his Carter Center, in which he received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002. He is a well versed, well traveled individual who is a former president of the United States. He has said thaat they are being starved over tehre and cited UN reports as proof. You have failed to provide anything which brings his credibilty in to question, or evidence to the contrary, Since you continue to decline President Carter as an authority ont he subject, without any proof, I will provide even further proof: The study Carter was quoting, performed by the UN, found that, "as a result of both closures blocking exports from Gaza and the international and Israeli boycott of the PA; Around 46 per cent of Gaza and West Bank households are "food insecure" or in danger of becoming so [and that] It says that the situation is "more grim" in Gaza where four out of five families have reduced their spending - including on food - in the first quarter of last year alone." http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/half-of-palestinians-in-west-bank-and-gaza-malnourished-437343.html You have a UN study done showing that, as a direct result of the blockade, Palestinians are suffering, and Carter illuminated that in his article.

150 trucks of food for 1.5 million people for a month, due to the blockade. Not enough supplies and medicine in the hospitals due to the blockade. Restricting gas from entering. The shutting off of electricity and water. Yet... you claim there is no blockade on humanitarian items? What are you sourcing, because frankly, not even right-wing knee jerks on talk radio would admit to what you're saying.

US practically sells weapons to everyone, developing countries or industrial powers, doesn't matter who it is -- capitalism ftw.

Did you ignore the whole part about "as a direct result of the blockade and the ban on Palestinian exports"? There is clear and undeniable proof that the Palestinian people are suffering as a direct result of the blockade itself. Not only do we sell them things, we also have joint military efforts that dont necessarily mean were "fighting" their war, but a good amount of our taxes goes to israels defense, if you read that article in the 5 seconds it took you to reply you would have seen

" Every year, the United Nations General Assembly votes on a resolution entitled "Peaceful Settlement of the Palestine Question." And every year the vote is the same: it's the whole world on one side; Israel, the United States and some South Sea atolls and Australia on the other side. The vote this past year was 164-to-7. Every year since 1989-in 1989, the vote was 151-to-3, the whole world on one side, the United States, Israel and the island state of Dominica on the other side."

Thats not capitalism. Capitalism is a free market, not private-public relations. Thats more related to corporatism.

For one thing....I don't know why you turn these topics into blockade anyway. Nonetheless, the sites I've read...and it was several days ago that I last read it said Isreal is allowing humanitarian aid in. I'm sure there is some shortages but then I have to wonder about a country that doesn't make feeding it's citizens a priority...and yes that falls on Hamas shoulders. If you can't see that the enemy to the Palestianians is Hamas I don't know what to say. All Hamas has to do is stop the attacks and sign a peace treaty. Israel will leave them alone. Things were looking decent to the area until Hamas came in. Hamas presents very real concerns to Israel's safety. The concerned Egypt. The West Bank as well. First thing to solve anything over there is Hamas has to care about it's people...and not about it's dealings with Iran.

Well for one thing a blockade is an act of war... I'm sure vandalvideo will explain but if Israel imposed the blockade before any rocket fire, then it was Israel who "launched the first salvo" by creating the blockades.

No more supposition. Give...me..links. I've provided you with dozens of sources and some highly credible sources as well. I've given you presidents, international political agencies, some influential news sources, and even an Israeli news source. All of these sources share one thing in common. They say that the blockade, instituted by Israel, has starved the Palestinians since 2007. You're working against dozens of media outlets and a former persident here. You're going to need lots of proof, not words. I have not said that Hamas is a knight and shinning armour. I've repeatedly said that I'm not necessarily a fan of hamas. My only goal is to show what Israel is doing to the Palestinian peoples. I've more than shown that.

He's not unbiased. But this states the blockades are in response to rocket attacks and that humanitarian aid is getting in. Just not as much as before in some cases which I've never argued. Only that not all humanitarian aid was stopped.

This one states the first economic blockade came after actions by Hamas meaning they violated the peace treaty.

You missed the point. You said the blockade was total. They had to get it to run out. I said humanitarian aid is still getting in. I didn't mention numbers. Thus I provided the proof that humanitarian aid is getting in.

Now one wonders why Hamas wants to keep the blockade going and why militants are killing Palestinian children.

Oh...Hamas doesn't want to sign a peace treaty either.

LJS9502_basic
Since when did I say that the Blockade was total? Post those exact words. I merely said that the blockade was denying relief to the people of Gaza. Heck, when I quoted Carter I even talked about how it went up to 20% of what it was supposed to be. Even Carter's articles say that the blockade wasn't *total*. My point is that, and I made it quite clear with the abundance of evidence I gave you, Israel is starving Palestinians with their blockade. That was my point, I proved that point. It doesn't matter if a small ammount of trucks are getting in when people are STARVING. Hamas didn't want the blockade to keep going. When the June ceasefire was agreed upon, Hamas urged all militant groups to stand down. Hamas didn't fire any rockets well into August, after Israel had kept the blockade in place for two extra months. After over a year of starving citizens they reacted.

Every time I mentioned humanitarian aid you contradicted me. Changing stance again? I mentioned that percentage from Carter as proof that I won that round and you said contradicted that as well. Let's face it...every time I said Israel allows humanitarian aid into the strip you took the opposite stance. Actually Hamas is starving the people. You didn't notice that when a blockade is lifted Hamas attacks and gets it shut down again? Israel is willing to open the blockade once attacks stop. Hamas says no. Who is guilty here?

No I'm not the troll. Even in newspapers there is fluff pieces..doesn't matter. Besides it's not the only link I posted though it falls in line with those stories. Now if you can't discuss without attacks please don't respond. I'm not interested.

Oh...and that same article was on other sites.;)

Can you find the part of the article where a credible source states that civilians were shot at? Seems to me that the BBC isn't sure if the allegations of civilians being shot at are true. Btw, why do so many of you support Hamas? I'm just curious.

Yes I am Islamic. But that is not why I am supporting Gaza and the West Bank. I am supporting them because of their dreadful situation.

No, that's "s'pose" or "spose". A spouse is a partner in marriage.

And therefore he made a spelling mistake after questioning someone's intelligence. It's like asking to be owned. Btw, are you his mom or something? I don't see a point in defending him so vigorously.

http://www.vancouversun.com/news/Jewish+British+lawmaker+likens+Israel+Nazis/1180734/story.html

LONDON - A veteran British Jewish lawmaker compared the Israeli offensive in Gaza Thursday to the Nazis who forced his family to flee from Poland.

Gerald Kaufman, a member of the Jewish Labour movement linked to Prime Minister Gordon Brown?s ruling party, also called for an arms embargo against Israel.

"My grandmother was ill in bed when the Nazis came to her home town . . . a German soldier shot her dead in her bed," Kaufman said during a parliamentary debate on the 20-day-old war which has left over 1,000 dead.

"My grandmother did not die to provide cover for Israeli soldiers murdering Palestinian grandmothers in Gaza.

"The present Israeli government ruthlessly and cynically exploit the continuing guilt from gentiles over the slaughter of Jews in the Holocaust as justification for their murder of Palestinians."

Israel's claim that many of the Palestinian victims were militants "was the reply of the Nazi," he said, adding: "I suppose the Jews fighting for their lives in the Warsaw ghetto could have been dismissed as militants."

Kaufman, a well-known critic of Israel, said Hamas was a "deeply nasty" organization, but said it was democratically elected.

He urged Britain to impose an arms embargo on the Jewish state.

"It is time for our government to make clear to the Israeli government that its conduct and policies are unacceptable and to impose a total arms ban on Israel," he said.

"It is time for peace - but real peace, not the solution by conquest which is Israel's real goal but which is impossible for them to achieve. They are not simply war criminals, they are fools," he added.
