[QUOTE="way2funny"][QUOTE="cpo335"][QUOTE="way2funny"][QUOTE="newyork_graffit"] Well, if you are not American, don't respond to the remarks about the president. If you are American, don't you dare insult the President of the United States. If you live in America, he is YOUR president, and you have no right to insult Bush.

I have all the right to insult Bush. Did my family vote for Bush? no, but we are stuck with him wether we like it or not. Just cause he is the president doesnt give him special privalages, even though he has them. Just because certain people dont like the current president, that gives you no reason to tell them get out of America. Saying that just makes you really ignorant.
Not to say i support 9-11 or anything, because i recognize that it was a horrible event and i feel terrible for what happened, but that has nothing to do with our president, and anyone has the right to critisize him anyway they see fit. Its called the first amendment, freedom of speech.
So basically you're saying that being President of the United States of America, the world's only super power, and leader of the free world, you should have no special power/privledges/or anything within your command to do anything - whatsoever? And people can tell you to leave the country if you don't like the current president, you just don't have to. It's called the First Amendment, Freedom of Speech. Saying that just makes you really ignorant.
Its called using the arguers logic to defeat their arguement. Why should the president get special privalages? The free world? most of the world isnt free.
I didnt say people cant tell me, i said it gives them no reason to.
So you think the president shouldn't get special powers/privlidges? In that case, why do we even need a president? I mean if he isn't going to get any special privledges or power to do anything, why do we even need him in the first place? But wait, who will run the country and keep us safe by deploying the military when there are suspected nuclear weapons in forign countries ran by opposing dictators? And most of the world isn't free? About half the world isn't free and about half the world is free, give or take a few countries. Most of the countries that arn't free are in Asia and Africa, but the countries that are free are on the western hemisphere and Europe. Now I said leader of the free world, not leader of a free world. I was specifically stating that he is the leader of the countries that are free, not the entire world.
Your logic FTL.
Listen im not here to argue (but i guess im going to havve to), im here to simply state my opinions. I could care less how much people take them into consideration.
Im just going to say just cause hes a president of the united states, doesnt mean hes the best person in the world that everyone should look up to.
Thats what i meant by special privalages. Just cause hes the president, doesnt mean hes the best, as some of people are making him out to be. Of course he gets certain powers, its his job. To conclude this im just going to say not every does the best job at what their doing, and I believe Bush didnt do the best job he could have done during his presidency. Really, i think he did a poor job thats inexcusable.
Als, to respond to the bold. Opposing right? doesnt the USA have nuclear weapons? so what gives the united states the right to have those type of weapons and making it morally wrong for another country to have them. Think about it this way, switch the table. An opposing nation has nuclear weapons, and you dont. You are going to feel threatened.
Listen im not trying to make Bush the bad guy, but i dont think hes really a good guy either. I really dont want this arguement to get personal cause it shouldnt be. I respect you viewpoint. Everyone has a different one.
Anyway guys, have a good night, im going to bed.
