[QUOTE="Stanley09"] Im not going to post pics. Ive read alot on bodybuilding.com I also might buy Rippetoes book

rawsavon

Well don't ask for what you are not willing to give yourself...that just seems like a hypocritical act IMO.
Also, I wonder why one would only get info from one side of an argument and not research all sides...that seems rather shortsighted.
-it would be like listening to only what one candidate had to say and then going to vote. Very peculiar way of doing things

You were asking for others physiques..thats why I asked for yours. If youve already posted it here numerous times, whats the problem?

What other "sides" are there exactly?

also, a planet fitness parody;http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnBPmOwT10Q&feature=player_embedded#!

Hmm, lets try to change the direction of this thread, what do you all think are some good body building food? I eat a ton of greek yogurt, the protein content is high.Found out I was neglecting my fat intake, so started eating a serving of fresh walnuts; noticed a big boost mentally, plus I feel like I have more energy.

[QUOTE="mywalletsgone"]

[QUOTE="bachilders"]

Cool thread here :D

My goals right now are to get to about 170lbs.

One year ago (exactly oddly enough) I started working out a few times a week and eating more w/ protein shakes. (Forgot that was going UP to 170lbs). Last year at...

17 years

145lbs

6'4"

Now I am...

18 years (obviously)

163lbs

6'4"

Looking and feeling much stronger and more energetic than before and don't plan to stop anytime soon. I hope to be up to 170lbs before I go off to college and maintain working there, but hopefully keep around that weight. Long term goal is Vin Diesel levels of manliness.

bachilders

Holy socks batman!! You're like twiggy! =O

Have you even ate before you started working out? I'm honestly concerned.

Haha yeah it was pretty insane before, still very thin but not emaciated. I always eat a lot when it's good, but when I'm just stuck at home all day I really have to make sure I pack in the food. My sister is going to college for nutrition and diet stuff and she figured that in order to maintain my weight I need about 4000 calories a day and to gain 2 pounds a week I need to eat 6000 a day. My frame is pretty small too, skinny bones and almost no fat makes it very difficult to gain. I know a guy at school who I think is 6'1" or so and weighs 125lbs.

I burn weight really quickly as well, I guess it's just genetics or something, but last summer I got sick for a few days and ate nothing but Chicken Noodle soup and lost like 12 lbs. Gained it back a lot quicker than it took at first though.

I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to weight stuff, although I wish I weighed as much as you.

I've always been big on milk. I will not go on the GOMAD diet though, that's to much.

I probably go through about 2L of milk a day but a whole gallon just seems totally wrong to me. Also I don't want kidney stones (not sure if this is true). :P

Do you think he got that way from Yoga?

He looks pretty strong, without the bulk of the power lifter. Definitely stronger than the marathon runner.

Most definitely from alternative workouts like Yoga...he can do things the others cannot.
I have found those thin/marathon guys are hard to get a hold of in a fight though. So they have things going for them as well

I commonly hear a 40/40/20 split between carbs/protein/fat, over 4-6 meals a day, is a good diet for recomposition.

Never really got into any 'real' fights myself. Just wrestling, and boy it does get tiring chasing after the little guys!
They never want to go one on one, they generally run around hoping to tire you out first. :/

Yes. He got busted for it. Everyone thought he was sooooo amazing (looks like that + competed with all the other strongmen) -turns out there was a reason he looked like that and did so awesome against the other strongmen (that do not look like that)

I try my hardest to eat six small meals/snacks throughout the day.

Wake up: Bowl of whole grain cereal, low fat milk, glass of V8 (disgusting but all for health) and hot tea.

10am: Plain 2% Greek yogurt with fresh fruit

Lunch: PBH, Spinach Salad (with: Carrots, Broccoli, onion, granola and raisins), Stick of string cheese, and veggie sticks.

2/3pm: Omega 3 Trex Mix from Trader Joes (includes: Walnuts, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, cranberries and almonds)

Post workout: Protein bar (I buy whatever is on sale if it has high protein) along with shake: Optimum 100% Whey Gold Standard

Dinner: Usually chicken with some sort of carb.

I did not mean research your end goal/destination (we all know what we want). I meant researching the road on how to get there. I would never just look at one route/one way of doing something and just go with that, but that is just me. I am sure your way is going just fine...from what I can tell

Im not exactly sure how else someone would go about powerlifting....once I get my lifts up a good bit with starting strength ill do a more advanced powerlifting routine. Starting strength is pretty much the best way out there to start

I thought the idea of drinking a gallon seemed really hard, but I have been doing it for a few weeks. Much easier than I anticipated.

ya, I thought id be throwing up and stuff before I actually tried it

I have a liter bottle that I drink in the morning, with lunch, in the afternoon and post gym. Then I try to avoid all liquid so I can sleep soundly ha.

yea thats pretty close to what i was. i wasn't on a strict one. just got rid of chips, sweets, and junk food in general. Boxing class helped a lot. if you can, i suggest going to boxing classes or kick boxing. GREAT cardio and you build muscle as well.

I doubt you squat and bench that much at 15 but if you did and your dead is that low, your doing something wrong(quarter squats)

O.o

If people are going to put up numbers that don't match up at all, they really need to post videos. :P

If you do actually bench 260.. you should be deadlifting and squating way more, unless your muscle distribution is abnormally cock-eyed.

Some people are just like that. I personally bench more than I squat.
