Totally agree with that one, ofc there is good rap but most of it is contradicting and most of it has very small musical quality, good rap usually is just lyrics well put together with a strong original message, usually the message is the same, the instrumental is just a pc sample in loop and nvm I don´t want to get into this, to many rap lovers that are going to start a debate.

BREAKFAST --- "The most important meal of the day" my ass. I never eat breakfast and I get by just fine. The only thing breakfast gives you is a stomach ache from the eggs. Okay, alcohol was just personal opinion. Nirvana gets too much credit. Like I said, I love them, it's just the way people seems to think they (and for the most part Kurt, who wasn't a great guitarist, just lyrically was a genius imo) are the best. I think they were amazing, but not the best thing to ever happen. Great band, too much credit, I guess is what I'm trying to say. Opinions though so...

I do know who Segovia is. Also, for my sig, I'm saying he's the greatest rock guitarist ever. I don't know who I could say is the greatest all genre guitarist ever is, but Hendrix would be on that list, but so would be Segovia, and probably John Williams.

There isn't a guitarist out the more influential than Jimmy, end of story. He is the biggest inspiration for guitarists across the board genre wise.

You should learn a bit before you talk. The instrument of Guitar was mainly used by peasants and poor people. However the piano and violin were sophisticated instruments used in concert halls. The guitar wasn't looked at in the same light. Long before electric guitar was out, the two guitarists I named played the biggest role in bringing the guitar to concert halls, and being played among orchestras. Without them, guitar would have still been a poor musicians instrument.

Without this sophistication Segovia, Barrios, Tarrega, Rodrigo and others brought, who know how other forms of guitar would be looked at when they were developed. This was before Blues, Rock'n Roll and Rock music were around.

They were heavily influencal in guitar.

I'm sorry you haven't heard of them. Unfortunately western mainstream popularity has taken away the complexity and compositional value music once was. Perhaps you should listen to these superior artists I have named. What they have played on guitar strings is beyond the comprehension of guitarists like Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page.

FAMILY GUY is extremely over rated. I saw supposedly the best gags... and they made me laugh. NOT!

U2- The band is good, but overrated. There is nothing to be considered so great.

I find that a lot of things are way to overrated in this world. Rap music being the biggest, and the next biggest would be something like Family Guy. Don't get me wrong, I love the show and it makes me laugh from the stomach out, but damn, people act like it walks on water sometimes.

Also, I find that Gamespot overrates games too, almost every game is too high of a score with a few exceptions. But then, a lot of gamesites are like that.

I find it strange, everything i like is thrown back to me as "overrated". Every time i state what i like, or even read up on it, everyone says it's overrated. My favourite videogame is Halo, overrated. My favourite band is Metallica, overrated. My favourite movie is The Matrix, overrated. It really bugs me, is there something wrong with everything i like? I've never really had the view on anything that is traditionally overrated, because i don't see many things as overrated at all. aaaaarrrrggggg

That was complex, yes, but I got bored of it quickly....

Here is some stuff I think is great (Note, these aren't all mind blowing guitar pieces, just songs I love):

Muse-Knights of Cydonia (This band is my fav that plays today. They are incredibly original and incredible musicians)

Buckethead-Soothsayer (Definitely my fav instrumental ever. Such an incredible song)

Opeth-The Grand Conjuration (An epic 10 minutes of great music)

Katatonia-The Itch (This band is incredible. They have an amazing atmosphere to all their songs)

In Flames-Dead Alone (One of avery few metal songs I consider to be beautiful in a way)

Stevie Ray Vaughn-Texas Flood (Simply amazing)

Orgy-Eva (This song is incredibly emotional and has some of the best lyrics I have ever seen)

The Dillinger Escape Plan-Panasonic Youth (These guys mock all the conventions with their music.)
