Things that are overrated...

I like metal, I don't listen to it to be harcore, I listen to it because it sounds good. I am into lighter metal though (metallica, avenged sevenfold, judas priest), I don't like hardcore metal where you can't hear what they aer singing because they scream too muchDopemonk736

First of all, it's Nu-Metal, and yes, Nu-Metal does suck, but neither Dragonforce nor Blind Guardian are Nu-Metal. Both are power metal. And neiter are all that new anyway, Blind Guardian is from the 80s, and Dragonforce is from the 90s.

I disagree. I hear emotion is his recordings. I find that the reason that the point of criticism you mention is because he isn't one to move or make facial expressions when he plays, but as someone who has listened to his CDs, I hear much passion in his playing. Not his demeanor, but his playing nonetheless.

Considering the amount of practice it must have took for him to get to his level, I'm almost positive he must have a feeling for what he does.

-Being worshipped for having talent for a certain musical instrument. I've never understood why a talented guitar player is so revered as opposed to say a talented pianist. The piano is a much more elegant instrument, yet you don't see nearly as many (if any)"rock star" pianists out there who are worshipped nearly to the same extent. There are those that are recognized for their ability, sure, but guitarists seem to be elevated to a status that transcends the very thing that got them to where they are in the first place.

COMEDY CENTRAL --- The Daily Show and the Colbert Report are pretty popular, along with South Park. But other than that is there even anything on Comedy Central worth watching? All they show is awful stand up comedy all the time. BREAKFAST --- "The most important meal of the day" my ass. I never eat breakfast and I get by just fine. The only thing breakfast gives you is a stomach ache from the eggs. The food is good but it's just too early in the morning to eat and you definitely don't need breakfast to "get by" during the day. This breakfast is important nonsense was probably started by those damn Cheerios commercials COMPUTERS --- Let's not confuse the internet with computers. The internet is a great invention that people use everyday. but if there were no internet no one would use computers. If there were no computers people would still use the internet. Now I know everything (videogame systems, portable devices) are technically versions of computer but I'm talking about the PC's and Mac in peoples homes. Computers freeze, get slower over time and get obsolete after only a few years. CONDITIONER --- There is nothing at all wrong with good ole' fashion shampoo. Conditioner is just some gimmick that women buy that's a waste of money. BLU-RAY/HD-DVD --- There is nothing wrong with regular DVD and these new discs are just here to trick people that get all excited about their new HD-TV into buying them. Blu-Ray and HD-DVD are just glorified DVDs at double the price. SOUTH PARK --- The movie is the funniest movie I've ever seen. The show has some truly great characters and episodes, but a lot of the episodes are hit or miss. While Family Guy, The Simpsons and Futurama are pretty consistent, South Park will have one awesome episode and then the next week the show will be painful to watch. There are too many hit or miss episodes to consider South Park among the heavyweights of the cartoons. DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION --- I don't have a problem with people buying CD's off of iTunes or buying games off of the PlayStation Store, but if a computer messes up and a videogame hard drvies breaks then people will lose all the stuff they paid for. I personally like a nice hard copy of everything I buy.-MlKE-

Computers only freeze and get slower if you don't know how to use a one, thus loading it full of ad/spyware and viruses from looking at too much porn :D people overly exagerate how buggy windows is and they need to be kicked in the jaw for such stupidity. I have hit my computer very hard on occasion and could hear the hard drive click and windows STILL performs very well. Also, my "obsolete computer" that I built 6 years ago STILL plays current games on rather decent settings :) Just so you know people do use computers for games. What do you think drives the acceleration of hardware?? Could it be computer games??
