Architecture? How is it useless?

Yep mine is on the list, just as expected.

Mine is #12.

Disagree on the liberal arts degrees. Most degrees grouped into the liberal arts stress analytical, critical thinking, research and writing skills.

Hardly useless in my opinion.

But guys you don't understand it's more important to do what you love and learn things that you think are important in life even if it means living with your parent till your 40 and not having a job. It's better to waste thousands and thousands of dollars and land yourself in huge debt and not be able to pay it off, it's better to learn something fun and interesting instead of toughening up and doing something you find dull and boring for a few years to have a better chance at a great job where you will have the money to explore you're life interests.

Life truly is backwards. All the healthy foods don't taste very good (broccoli, carrots, brussels sprouts, etc.), and the most profitable fields of study are the most boring. Damn, son.

Yea, but even those people who do pursue what they want to pursue wind up being unhappy because they don't earn much money in life. It's a double edged sword.

He also said they used different statistics (I forget what) to rank them in how generally unbeneficial they are.

If he isn't lying, I guess.

As a mathematics and compurer science graduate with a high 2.2 and a 2.1 in many important modules such as my final year project, I can say with the utmost confidence that degrees alone are useless without connections and/or work experience. Even the sciency ones.

He is a douche, but not for this video in particular. In the video, he says people shouldn't pursue paying degrees b/c money.

I don't think you understand. I'm not saying that it's absolutely useless, but that it's useless in regards to money. It can't earn you money, so it's not worth spending money on. You get no monetary output for your monetary input. Unless you're rich, it's not worth it.

That doesn't make them worthless. Stating facts is one thing, but my main problem is with his rhetoric. I'm fully aware that some of the more rewarding degrees are underappreciated in our society and therefore don't hold as much monetary value, but that doesn't make them worthless.
