Those things happen in a lot of fundamental muslem countries,Saudi Arabia for example, a good friend to the west as far as I know.

Read my post a solider goes where and when he is ordered. In war people die. A soliders job is not to wonder why just do their job and return safe. Next time you could be in alaska or korea. If they order you to the moon then you go. They say fight guess what happens you fight. You follow the chain of command end of story.

I appreciate that but I doubt this guy was ordered to execute those families.

Screw that not even their own want to go into that so-called justice system.
I agree that by my standards also the justice system there is barbaric, however is it fair to let this guy go unpunished (in the eyes of the afgans obviously).
