That's a parody religion, a satirical play on the idea of monotheism and faith in the unknown.
The only "weird" religion that I have encountered over my studies would probably be Indian Tantrism. If you go beyond what we think we "know" about it here in the West, you'll find some especially weird stuff.
who needs religion, I am a Godmichael_1234576If you are a God, can you make all bad things go away?
1) Atheism is not a religion[QUOTE="surrealnumber5"]atheist as they have no proof. second would be any religious zealotTeenaged
2) While theists do have proof?
it is a belief system so it is a religion, and i never said they did.Jedi. Because it had to come up sometime.GHlegend77
A long time ago, a friend of mine put "Jedi" on his dog tags as his religion, which I thought was hysterical. Later I found out, holy ****, it was a real religion!
atheist as they have no proof.surrealnumber5
Don't all religions lack proof, being based on faith?
atheist as they have no proof. second would be any religious zealotsurrealnumber5:o Unfortunately for you, atheism is not a religion, and its evidence is the argument from poor design, argument from evil, argument from free will, etc. If you think atheism is ridiculous because it has no proof, then you should give equal treatment to all religions, because not one of them has proof! :)

it is a belief system so it is a religion, and i never said they did. So every set of beliefs constitutes a religion?Well that means most political ideologies, worldviews and philosophical opinions.

atheist as they have no proof. second would be any religious zealotsurrealnumber5The "proof" of atheism is logic, the proof of Christianity is what appears to be a work of fiction. By the way, atheism isn't a religion, and it really has nothing to do with proof. Presumably, most are atheist on the basis of no empirical evidence to support the existence of deities.

it is a belief system so it is a religion, and i never said they did. It is a belief, not a "system" where people are taught to take you in and indoctrinate you. It's no more a religion than monotheism, polytheism, pantheism, or any other other various theism. You're a hypocrite. If you want to criticize atheism because it has no proof, then you should equally criticize theism because as you just implied, you clearly believe it doesn't have proof either. The "proof" of atheism is logic, the proof of Christianity is what appears to be a work of fiction. By the way, atheism isn't a religion, and it really has nothing to do with proof. Presumably, most are atheist on the basis of no empirical evidence to support the existence of deities. there is no evidence to the contrariety, to be backed by science you must have a proof and there is no way to prove or disprove a divine creator[QUOTE="surrealnumber5"]atheist as they have no proof. second would be any religious zealotAnimatronic64

it is a belief system so it is a religion, and i never said they did. Also:since theists and atheists neither have proof then why mention only atheism?

I think you're misusing the term logic here. Logic has to do with statements being consistent. Logic only proves atheism if you accept certain premises to be true in the first place. The same can be said of a religion.
to much flaming for me so im going to play a game yall have fun with your belief systemsurrealnumber5Flaming?
You think you are being flamed?
Totally.... >__>
Do you know what flaming means? You are not even being trolled which is the indirect version of flaming.

The logic is that there is no empirical evidence to support the existence of gods, and quite frankly some would find the concept of deities to be too fantastical. Also, I think you misinterpreted my post a bit. Considering what I said in the later half.[QUOTE="Teenaged"]

I know what trolling is: Whatever a GameSpot mod happens to think it is at any given moment.
:PIn GS if you are not all shineshine and flowers then you MUST be a troll. /some exaggeration

I'm not sure whether the statement I quoted was what you think, or what you think athiests and Christians think. In either case, it's still a misuse of the termlogic. Logic alone never proves anything. Logic might determine that atheism and empricism are compatible.

I was actually kind of thinking at the back of my head that someone was going to say something like this about my post. That's not what I meant by it at all. And like I said, there is no proof, nor does atheism have anything to do with proof. How dare you.
