What do you do when girls are afraid of you?

Have you ever had girls be afraid of you? Afraid as in under the impression that you're going to rape them or something. What do you do in such a situation? Is it possible to win them over? As an example, there is a girl at my job who told a co-worker that when I look at her, she thinks I'm going to kidnapp and rape her (I've got that Bert stare). Obviously she was speaking hyperbolically, but there was genuine sentiment behind what she said. I should also mention that I scare children :(.

I don't know.

I had some chick at a burger joint flinch when I grabbed my bag as if I was going to hit her - was kinda funny. Guess I moved too fast. 

If it's a stranger or a girl you barely know (like your colleague), then yeah it's certainly possible to "win her over". Just have a conversation. MrPraline

The problem is that I have a deep seeded hatred for people who judge me without knowing me, such that I avoid or minimize contact with them. Since I get this from most females, and most people in general, I'm pretty much alone. Besides, I don't think these people want anything to do with me anyway. :(

I generally try not to paint mysef in a threatening light, so I don't have that problem.

Um... Not trying to personally attack you or anything but there must be something about your appearance that is threatening or something.

Why you look like a very nice young fellow.

I guess try to smile and talk small talk more often to become more friendly at work. Just make you smile and ask 'how are you?' every day. Also when people reply listen to them so next time you can say 'how is/was the so and so'.

If you are often quiet or moody then suddenly be all talkative one day then people are thrown off. Being nice is something that should be an everyday habit?

Have you considered the fact that you may be projecting?  You know 80% of communication is non verbal, right?  it's kind of like receiving a chain letter in the mail.  You laugh and crumple it up and toss it in the trash, but subconsciously, a small part of you might wonder if there's any truth in it, so you go about your day and subconsciously you start having bad luck, not because of the chain letter, but because a part of your brain that might hold the belief that bad luck is about to happen now, makes you predisposed to seeing and finding bad luck in situations throughout the day where you normally wouldnt see anything of the sort.

i follow them around constantly and jump out with a gift like some flowers in my hand or maybe like a big butcher knife if they are into cooking.

sometimes i paint love messages in huge sloppy red paint where i know they will see them like inside their house on a wall or inside their car.

i'm a pretty big romantic at heart.
