I never see those people. Everyone where I live seem to be those weird people who dress in colors other than black,

I wonder why this topic is drifting off into cats. And for the two guys arguing, don't waste your time because no matter what both of you are gonna think the same way, cause I don't think a guy on a forum can convince you to belive anything you don't want to. Like Barack Obama said- "You can disagree without being disagreable".... or something like that. Even though I think appearance matters, and I agree with the father, you can't convince someone to belive something they think is bullcrap...

Im not arguing that I wouldnt be worried when someone like that (who I'll reiterate again, is an extreme case!) wanted to date my daughter. Im arguing that I would give them a fair chance instead of screaming "Freak" and getting the shutgun. Of course appearance matters, first impressions are unavoidable. But to judge instantly based on that is something various people have been trying to stamp out off society since the dark ages (and before)!

It's beyond unlikely that he will turn out to be the sort of person that will provide for and make my daughter happy ... but there are always exceptions, and due to those exceptions everyone deserves a fair chance. Youre right, its not the way the world works ... but its the way it should work and people like you are a negative influence towards that progress. Im an idealist, I admit that, but id rather be an idealist aiming for a fairer world than be a peasant with a pitchfork out on a witch-hunt.

The subculture in itself is awrite. Some of the "members" are pretty entertaining aswell... Listening in on their conversations about how hard life is, how little anyone except themselves understands their pain and the sheer volume of it, and generally how victimized they are, just all makes my day, really. :3
