What I ask is if God didn't make the world then how could the world start from nothing? And the Bible purposelys says that before there was anything, there was God.battlefront23
How did God come from nothing? And if God is infinite, why can't the stuff that makes us up also be infinite?

LOL thats because its the easiest and only answer that man could come up with. They said a lot of things back then with no knowledge on it whatsoever.. today many things that were said then have been proved false..

This is one thing that physically no matter the evidence on both sides, man can never solve. And why we are not infinite; sin.

because the garden of eden was heaven on earth in a sense... Adam and Eve could live there forever but when sin entered so did everything negative.

Yeah, but people fear what they don't know and seem feel the need to bash other things in validate there choice. Its a very common defense mechanism and you see people use it all the time.
As this has gotten way out of hand. I will simplify it, each religon has something different happen to you when die. I follow the christian doctrines. So there ya have it.

yes man did, but God inspired it. Basically guiggly and Sparrow you'll never convince me that God is wrong. Also, notice how few errors the Bible has? And how many different writers there were? i don't think all of them would seemlessly write something that never contradicts with what another guy wrote without God intervening.
Do you also realise how many times the bible has been translated and rewritten over 2000 years? I would sure hope after that long, they could get their story somewhat straight.. but no, it is still conflicting in many areas..
Not long ago the dead sea scrolls were discovered. they are over 2,000 years old. they were compared to the old testament of today. thats something the human mind + science have not fully proven YET, it takes time. Just like in the past, everything that was unexplainable at the time, humans would say it was a god, well throughout time many of those things have been proven not to be god. If those same humans were alive today, they would look pretty damn stupid..

I'm sorry my post was not directed at you. Clearly a mis undestanding and it was directed at all people in the post. Much religon bashing and much atheism hate. Doing those clearly doesn't bring anything constructive to the debate. Wether is people saying religon is brainwashing or that they are going to hell. All those action are deplorable, and could have been said in a much more constructive less offesnive way. Once again, it wasn't directed at you. Toodles :p

If it has always existed, then nothing created it. And out of an infinite amount of universes (more than one big bang) and by the sheer size of each universe, then chances of something, as complex as Earth and life, being created is 100%. Btw God would be a lot more complex. Now if you'll excuse me (even if you don't) I'll be back in about 15 minutes as I have to take a shower, I have school in the morning.

eboy's just good with euphemisms like that :)
well, people are afraid of what they don't know, so they'll come up with an xplanation for it, like God.
The only sucky thing about being an atheist is that I really want to believe in sea monsters and atlantis and all this awesome, fake stuff, but it's just being ignorant of the facts, soooooo...
I'm sorry you feel such hate for God's words. But, yes, in the old testament, he did kill off people. He decides when we die. However, all these times that he did do these things were times when those people were so imoral that God had to remove them from the face of the Earth. Like Sodom and Gamorah and the days of Noah when he flooded the world.
His words give me more truth then a bunch of Theory that is presented as truth. In the end, these theories well not save a person from hell.

smooth hehe.
Religious people say that God wants us to believe in him out of love (or something like that), yet he threatens us with Hellif we don't. That's like robber going into a store asking the manager for all of the money in the register, yet threatening to blow his head off if he doesn't.
