Now I don't agree at all, to be honest. If a person is born a certain way, they are meant to be that way. And I'm not calling you one, but thats is somewhat close to what the Nazis believed. :|

battlefront23

No, the Nazis believed that the German race was perfect anyway and that making 'unpure' offspring with a Jew or such was bad... Hence the Nuremburg Laws were created where one stated that a Jew could not marry a German woman/man.
Or have I missed the point again? I don't see how my theory is bordering on Nazi'ism to be honest. :?

No they believed anyone born with any deficiencies should be warehoused; I know that's not what you are saying, but you are trying to accomplish the same thing, at least with people born with deficiencies. I believe we shouldn't try to elimintate those deficiences because it's not our right to change.

I'd guess because you have seen it before...

Hmmm...When I think about it, you could be right!

I'm mostly wondering where. If it's just previously here or have I played with you.
Anyway, whatever. Back on topic.

No, you're right: that's not what I'm saying at all. :| I don't see the problem here; are you saying it's not moral to help a couple give birth to a healthy baby? What I meant in that example is that the genes are changed BEFORE the reproduction process occurs, not after the damn baby is born...

"I believe we shouldn't try to elimintate those deficiences because it's not our right to change." - Who says it's not our right to change? God? Jesus? If it's either of these two then it's best we end it right here because our views will conflict to no end...

Without free will and the ability to choose or reject God, love would not be of our own choice.

battlefront23

God has free will to, but he doesn't sin; thus, free will does not necessitate sin. God could have created humanity so that we had free will, but it was simply not within our nature to do evil.

You are making the mistake of trying to equate the free will of the creation with the free will of the Creator. We are finite, He is infinite. He is holy. We are sinners. He is perfect, we are imperfect. He cannot sin and is a spirit and therefore not subject to the desires of the flesh as we are.

He did use His free will to create a path of fellowship and salvation for His fallen creation but you don't want it. He could have just as easily destroyed His entire creation.

Seems pretty arrogant, at the very best: "I will create you flawed and then punish you for acting according to the nature I gave you."

He did not create us flawed. He created us perfect. When Adam and Eve chose disobedience, sin entered the world and our nature.

Clearly they weren't perfect, or they never would have sinned; this seems like a pretty obvious point to me...

christianity= contradiction after contradiction

Nope. You obviously didn't read what I wrote. ;)

if adam and eve were created ABSOLUTELY pefect then why did they sin?

also isnt god sapposed to be the only perfect one? if his first creation were "perefect" in every cense of the word woudnt they themselves be considerd "gods"? then god woudnt be the only perfect being thus negating all excistance....

They were perfectly created but I fail to see how that makes them gods; they are humans. Anyway temptation was brought to the world and since Adam was only human he could fall into temptation; where as God cannot because He is a perfect God. Perfecly God =/= Perfectly Human.

hahahah legend26 pwned.

Love the Lord with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. Do this and all will follow. Mainly accept Jesus as your savior and make Him known.

*Spoiler warning!*

To Die.

J-man45

how is that the meaning of life?

Because you die after you live....

It's quite simple really. It's the ONLY THING WE KNOW FOR A FACT THAT HAPPENS TO US

So stop all this crappy arguing.

If you want to be happy then your purpose in life should be to serve your own self-interests. Altruism itself is a silly concept.

I think it's an indulgence in teleology to presume that our lives have a specific purpose, function or meaning rather than that they just are.

He had enough power to notify them of a lying serpent in the garden and he decided not to.

He didn't give them all they needed, such as a mere warning (which doesn't deny them of free will). Is there even a valid reason why he forbade Adam and Eve from eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil?

They were perfectly created but I fail to see how that makes them gods; they are humans. Anyway temptation was brought to the world and since Adam was only human he could fall into temptation; where as God cannot because He is a perfect God. Perfecly God =/= Perfectly Human.

hahahah legend26 pwned.

Uh no he didn't pwn me. They were perfectly made HUMANS. All humans are subject to temptation and they sucumbed. That is not God's fault, that is their own fault. He gave them all they needed and yet they chose to go against His decree.

He had enough power to notify them of a lying serpent in the garden and he decided not to.

He didn't give them all they needed, such as a mere warning without intervening their actions or thoughts. Is there even a valid reason why he forbade Adam and Eve from eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil?

To find real happiness.

We should live for ourselves and nobody else.

Genetic_Code

What if real happiness requires living for somebody else?

Then that's ultimately a selfish concern. And there's nothing wrong with that.

Without free will and the ability to choose or reject God, love would not be of our own choice.

Crushmaster

Nope. You obviously didn't read what I wrote. ;)

@Shad0 First off I though you were a Christian. But anyway A simple no by God was good enough. Not really but does there need to be one? God told them not to; that's enough of a reason right there.

"does not compute!!!!"

if they were PERFECT they would have know and obayed gods comman not to eat the apple! but they diddnt they commited a sin! it dosnt matter if they were humans. its says they were PERFECT but they stilled sined

ALSO if god is all knowing he would have known that they woudnt listen to him so why bother telling them in the first place?

if he diddnt know then that means god himself is not perfect

To Know love and Serve the Lord, Love Others and Eventually be with God in Heaven. That's what I think, you don't have to agree..

"Puts up Flame Shield" muuhhhahaha You can't touch me"

ferrari2001

My only thought with that, is I just wonder why he would create us to just love him an serve him? You shouldn't have to create someone to love yourself....If there is a god, I dont think that is why he created us. Thats just my personal view.

And I think we are here to continue and improve the human race.

Is it wrong for me to question God?

God told them not to eat the fruit but failed to mention a serpent just might try to trick them into eating the fruit. That would have been a wise thing for God to do. A simple "No" does not suffice if God knew that they would fall into a trap. An infinitely intelligent, infinitely wise being would have warned them of the snake.

But still, I want to know why they weren't supposed to eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Knowing what is good and evil is a gift, yet Adam and Eve were forbidden to recieve that knowledge.

If they didn't know what good or evil was, how did they even know that the serpent was leading them to do bad things? That is another reason why they should have been warned of the serpent.

Just as Christians warn non-believers about hell, God should have warned Adam and Eve about the serpent. After He "found out" that they disobeyed Him, He then punishes Adam and Eve (and the serpent) for not listening to Him as if He didn't already know that would happen.

Completely off-topic, I apoligize.

^Why does your GT look so familiar "Tortilla Jim"?

Crushmaster

I'd guess because you have seen it before...

Hmmm...When I think about it, you could be right!

I'm mostly wondering where. If it's just previously here or have I played with you.
Anyway, whatever. Back on topic.

Eddy, do you consider yourself to be a good person?

Yeah, actually I do.

If that's just a way to question my intelligence, I'm not an idiot.
It was 2:30 A.M. at that time so I wasn't really at my primest. :?
