[QUOTE="chessmaster1989"]If you took out all the liberals you'd probably lose a lot of the tech. Sorry. :P It passes some pretty stupid laws but how much do you actually know about California laws/politics? I kind of get the impression from seeing you post that you've mostly just heard the negative parts (and negative spins on some not-so-bad parts).airshocker

Well, I don't hold it high regard for the debt it's in. Nancy Pelosi and Barbara Boxer come from it. I don't like the pro-green movement coming from it. It seems like anything that starts in CA comes straight to NY and then screws with my life. The Happy Meal bit was beyond stupid.

I know people. I'll get you special permission to continue getting Happy Meals

And there are probably some others I can't remember.

All I know is I don't want anything from CA. I've already got it bad enough in NY.

There are parts of South Carolina that are not bad (namely the Greenville/Spartanburg and Charleston areas). As far as my answer, I do not really have one. Of the states that I have visited, there has been something their to keep my interest. Basically, if there are people or pretty things to see then I'll be occupied.

OSU is a pretty great place, but sadly it's one of the only things we can boast about.

California is the lamest politically. Ohio has horrible speed limit laws. A state trooper said some of them will ticket you for 1 mph over the limit.

oh man, my dad and grandparents are from there. I have fond memories of going to Bethany Beach once or twice in my life when I was a little kid. Catching fireflies on their well-groomed lawn in Dover.

Also, Dogfish Head Brewing is there :D

You also elected a SNL comedien as your senator, and Michelle Bachmann as a congresswoman (well at least one of your congressional districts did). This alone makes you more interesting (remember the question is lamest, not wrost) than 80% of states.

Hey now Minnesota is awesome. Beautiful state, great fishing, great hunting, and Minneapolis/St. Paul is easily one of the best places to live in the US. It just sucks that we gave the rest of the country Bachmann.

But as far as states go, I've never liked Arizona. Been there half a dozen times and each time sucked. Phoenix is a **** hole and the entire state is filled with old white retirees.

I didnt find Virginia all that great, same with Georgia. But every state has some lame parts. Take Florida for example, central florida and south florida are good places to be but any where else is really lame. North Florida isn't much better than those midwestern states.

that's the issue with the US, it's so damn huge most of it ends up a barren wasteland. Some are more fortunate to live in or near the main cities, others get stuck in hell :)

Idaho, the Dakotas, Missouri (only thing it has is Huckleberry Finn), and I'm tempted to say Delaware but there's probably something there that I'm forgetting.

And to the guy that said California... no, just no. The mojave and Los Angelessucks *** but northern California is sweet. Overcrowed? yeah, it is the most populated state but it is also the third largest so it's not a dense as the states on the east coast. It's pretty easy to find nice parts of california untouched by cities. Notto mention they have the Sierra Nevada four hours from San Francisco. Instant win.

Main cities suck. You wanna get out in the country. Granted, the plains and the desert (which make up like half of the country) suck pretty bad, but I'd rather be there than in like Los Angeles or something.

Dirty.. streetdog taste better with the smog. The mountains have snow during the winter, so idk what you talking about, I guess is missing spring though. Also kogi and taco trucks is bomb enough to stay. Except for the expense @.@ I dont think I can afford to live here if I didnt have support.

From the ones I've been to Florida, because of the horrible horrible climate. California is the one I've liked the most because of San Francisco, although I have no particular desire to go to LA.

Mainly the upper central states (Michigan, Dakotas, Idaho) and some of the Southern States (Alabama, Mississippi, Kansas).
