I saw this post on the Resident Evil 5 forum and it was a real nice read.

Just be serious and post your scariest moment...And no, seeing a fat chick naked doesn't count.

I saw a real gunfight. it was pretty scary.

I don't think I can ever run as fast as I did that day on a normal day.

WARNING: This is seriously freaky. I'm getting shivers just thinking about it. I strongly recommend NOT reading it. The good news is that it's also the inspiration for one of the most F'd up characters I ever made.:D

This actually happened more than once to me. I was lying in my bed, all alone, middle of the night, trying to go to sleep. It was really dark, and completely silent. Then, I heard a voice in my head. It was bizarre because it wasn't a usual thought, I could practically hear it, very clearly, and it didn't feel like it was MY thought. It didn't feel like it was coming from me. It was a girl's voice, and it sounded very soft. The voice said, once again, very clearly: "Look at me..."

That kind of freaked me out. Three seconds later, I heard it again in my mind, "Look at me..." it sounded more agitated now, but it was oddly robotic, in a creepy way. Each word was kind of dragged out, if you know what I mean by that. Now I was really freaked out, I wanted this to stop, but it didn't, and it came again, even more agitated now, "Look at me...!" it seemed to be getting Po'd, and I really, really felt like, whoever it was, At this point, I was totally freaked out, and I thought I was ready for anything, but I really wasn't, because what happened next was just plain twisted.

I heard the voice, one last time, except it was completely different, now it was screaming at the top of its lungs, "LOOK AT ME!" I tossed and turned, and squirmed and I closed my eyes, hoping it would go away. When I did, I saw the freakiest thing ever. It was like a girl's face, but it looked like it was made of ash...but I saw it long enough to realize it wasn't. The skin was grey, and it was rotting. chunks of flesh were just falling off of it, the eyes were completely rotted out of their sockets and weren't even visible...the nose was two slits and the thing's face was disgustingly skinny with NO cheeks. I couldn't see the mouth, until the very last second, when it grinned at me. When I opened my eyes, it was gone. I turned the lights back on. I couldn't go to sleep for the next two hours, and I was terrified of blinking for the next ten minutes, because I didn't want to see it again.

I'm not making this up, either, I'm completely serious.

Sure it wasn't a dream?

In a sense, you could call it that. I usually dream before I even start sleeping. Right before I go to sleep I go into this state where I start thinking about really bizarre things, then all of the sudden I'm there, and I can only assume that that's the case. In this particular case, however, I'd say what I had was a nightmare while I was still awake, and it absolutely traumatized me, especially since I've always had very, very twisted nightmares in the first place. You don't want me to use an example...

Like I said, I think I've seen it more than once.

There are multiple times when I've been totally freaked out in my house for no reason at all, and I've seriously thought about the possibility of it being haunted. However, the fact of the matter is that this house was BUILT FOR me and my family. We literally moved in once the construction workers were done. It doesn't have any history other than us. Even if haunted houses existed, ours would be out of the question.

I've been near a gun fight, almost drowned, got hit by a car and walked alone at night in dangerous neighborhood...all that scary to most people...but for some reason I was never scared, even when I was sure I was most likely going to die, there was a calm acceptance.

That said I am still afraid of heights. Yes, I have found nothing else in the world scares me, except heights. :(

That's the thing...I just think up stuff like this, I really do, and believe me, I've thought up of worse on a whim. When I tell things like that to people, most believe that I'm not healthy. But what I think is that I have a very extensive imagination...and that I can come up with some very twisted things. If I honestly wanted to, I COULD write horror stories using some of this stuff...but I prefer to make people laugh rather than have them scream.

My brother and his friends chased me through the woods with knives as a joke.

Only thing was I didn't know it was a joke. I didn't know it was him and his friends, and I honestly thought I would die.

then hes like, im gonna pull my gun on u guys..then all my friends stood up( there was like 20 of us.) then one of my friends was like show me your gun. So the guy punched my friend in the face and ran lol then we all chased him and kicked his ass.

but ya i thought he was gonna shoot me, but i guess he didnt have a gun..but ya i was scared lol.

I almost got ran over by a car once, the person that was driving was a lady talking on her cellphone and she was speeding about 40 mph in a 30 zone by the looks of it.

But the weird thing was, something stoped me into walking in front of the speeding car, and I didn't see the car coming. Because my house is on the corner of the street block, so if a person was speeding by in a car, I wouldn't see them untill they got in front of my house.

Once this kid with down syndrome stole my basketball and I had to lay the smack down to get it back. Also, sometimes i'll be in like this state of sleep where i'm dreaming but fully aware of my surroundings, like I can see my surrounding but i'm sleeping as well. It's pretty strange at times, like when something happens in the dream and I just hella twitch and wake up. It's difficult to explain.

I heavily, heavily, heavily doubt it.

Now that I think about it, it's been a while since I was freaked out in my house. I'm sure it's just me. Like I said, I have a mind capable of conjuring up such twisted things. The only reason I ever believed that possibility for a second was because I was being freaked out so much, but if it was haunted, then other people would be having problems, not just me. And no, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't just stop for no reason.:P

However, the fact of the matter is that this house was BUILT FOR me and my family. We literally moved in once the construction workers were done. It doesn't have any history other than us. Even if haunted houses existed, ours would be out of the question.

Was it built on an Indain Burial Site?

I heavily, heavily, heavily doubt it.

Now that I think about it, it's been a while since I was freaked out in my house. I'm sure it's just me. Like I said, I have a mind capable of conjuring up such twisted things. The only reason I ever believed that possibility for a second was because I was being freaked out so much, but if it was haunted, then other people would be having problems, not just me. And no, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't just stop for no reason.:P

Next time tell her to shut up or else you'll show her goatse.

I really think I should state, very clearly, that I DID NOT see this thing standing in my room, or in front of me. I saw it very vividly in my head while my eyes were closed. If it hadn't been that, then I would have immedietely known how to respond. Even though it was midnight, they'd be there, they're always there...

So the history of the land that it was built on is ok? Like anything bad happen? Could there be a well underneath your house? Do you live near a graveyard? Everbeen to any places where you just felt eerie or just wanted to get out of there for no apperent reason?

(this happened at night somewhere 10:00 last year) well I was with my sister in her room playing some psp because my room was accidentally locked. (My mom looked for the key). the room's light was very dim.(the door was fully opened and the windows were shut) So then my cousin comes in and she said that she will get a bag or something. then suddenley the lights went dimer and it kept on blinking, and then the door shut. And it went a little windy in our room.So we prayed and then all of the scary things dissapeared...So what we did was to sleep in our parents big bedroom until we lost our fear of that room. (and that took about 5-7 days)

yes I admit that ws scary.

My German family has alot of money, and thus they have a mansion. I was staying there one (which was bloody fantastic) and all of the sudden a pidgeon flew in. Then another. And another. And then they all stopped. No breathing, no sound. And started up, flying towards the doorway. Then, I see an old woman in a white gown, with the pidgeons flocking around her. She had mustard yellow eyes, a ghostly complexion, and kept muttering "Please Leave" over and over again.I remember shutting my eyes, then opening them again, and she was gone. Unfortunately, my German family had lost the house, and now live in a crappy apartment in Florida.

I was mugged in a pretty seedy part of town. My fault really - it was late and I was drunk. Two guys took my cell. I fought back, and got hit in the face with a beer bottle, which broke my nose and cracked my skull. I still remember drifting in and out of consciousness in the emergency room while the doctors talked about potential brain damage and blood clots while I waited for a CAT scan...

Ive been shot before. I was walking to the store like I would usually do every night. Some black guys in a car pulled up next to me, they yelled something but I didnt think they were talking to me, so I kept walking. They were still following me a little bit down the road, and I heard one of them yell, "fine dont answer", and then they shot at me. I got hit right above the knee and in the right shoulder. Me going to the hospital was a funny experience though, my doctor came in the room and checked out my wounds and said, "They cant shoot worth the ****!".

Mine would probably be the time I went to Mexico for the first time when I was 18 with a buddy at like 1 in the morning just for the hell of it only to get pulled over by Mexican cops. I'm sure many of you have heard the stories on how you're supposed to bribe Mexican cops otherwise they take you to jail and beat you senseless. Anyways, they pulled us over after a couple questions and apparently failing to give them any kind of bribe they told us to follow them to the station. They then sped off way ahead of us and I told me buddy to try and lose them and head for the border but he was too much in shock to try pulling anything crazy. We then followed them down a series of dark alleys to which I was sure I wouldn't return from when they suddenly stopped and got out wearing bullet proof vests and holding some type of machine gun. He then pointed the barrel at us and then motioned for us to leave. Apparently from what I could guess they had gotten a call after pulling us over and we had followed them to the call area. We then backed up and sped off to America. I know I may not have expressed it well but following them down those allies knowing that I was about to be in jail in a foreign country was definintely the most frightened I had been in my whole life. Worst of all we hadn't told any other friends or family that we had gone down there.
