oh you like simple music. here listen to high and dry

whoa there. step back with your high and mighty "my music is holier than thou" bs. If he didn't like the "dense" sound, I think all of those perfectly describe a dense, unlikeable sound

Judging by your Ageatis Byrjun avatar.

Honestly the best Sigur Ros album. The album melts myheart.

I sadly do not have that album as of yet. I have heard some of the songs off it though.:D But, my avatar should be of something from Waltz With Bashir now. It's not working.:x

Muse is way better, Radiohead consists of a bunch of talentless hacks, probably the worst band of the 90's.

i'm glad. are you trying to start an argument, because I have no idea what you're trying to say. Do those adjectives not, in many cases, describe "dense", complex music? In fact, those words can fit Radiohead, as well. Many people( including me) find the sound convoluted at first, it's quite layered and textured. dissonant might as well be convoluted. Does me liking Radiohead over Muse mean my music tastes are simplistic? I like your reasoning

That's the problem with hardcore Radiohead fans. They're all musical elitist d-bags. On a side note, Pandora just played Lucky-Radiohead, and then Time is Running Out-Muse :P

Radiohead was popular before Rock Band, nobody cared about muse before GH3. Dont compare great bands with mediocre poppy crap and I wont chime in.

Radiohead is older than Muse, so of course more people have heard of them. Muse is huge in England and pretty much everywhere except the US. I was one of the people hoping they'd put Muse in Guitar Hero, and it just so happened they put it in the next one because the fans wanted it. Even if people liked them because of Guitar Hero, is that really a problem? It's introducing people to new music so I don't see the problem.

Never played GH3 but Muse was popular ever since the early 00's and that is a fact regardless of your opinion on their music.

Both are great and imo Kid A is Radiohead's worst work. I love In Rainbows, Hail to the Thief, every other album more. And Muse's songs arent pop at all besides maybe Starlight. I love them both i may be leaning towards radiohead but dont ahte people for liking Muse

Muse are alright... good live act, a few good songs. I still think they get away with far too many Ahhhhhhs and completely trivial keyboard arrangements but that's just my opinion. Radiohead are one of the greatest bands of all time. Amazing in every way, Radiohead was mind-blowing both times I saw them.

I prefer Muse. edit...their music is a little more dramatic and operatic, in the sense that they incorporate classical phrasings into their songs. I love the contrast between Bellamy's soft piano parts and the band's hard rocking when the other two join in. Butterfies and Hurricanes is a good example.

And what exactly is the problem with listening to mainstream music? I listen to alot of random underground bands, but I also enjoy the radio. Its not because alot of people are listening to a certain band that its bad.

Muse without a doubt for me. Though Radiohead comes in at a close second. Both make amazing music, and both put on amazing live shows (though i think Muse edges out Radiohead when it comes to live concerts)
